your forum name...

so i've been inspired by a couple people on here to post a thread about how people came up with their nickname/forum names. is there a special meaning behind them? how did you come up with it? etc. thought it might be interesting....

suprchic73 came from when i was teenager. i guess i'm a closet superman fan...hahaha i tried superwoman, supergirl, etc....but suprchic seemed to stick. and leaving out the "e" just makes me extra cool, lol, j/k. :wink: the "73" is my height in inches.

my story is not so exciting....maybe someone else's will be?

 

About 10 years ago, a close friend and I started using the term "power move" for any positive step forward either one of us made in life. Whether financial, career, dating, relationships or otherwise but it became a regular part of our conversations. So I decided to make newpowermoves my screen name as a reminder to always make an effort to take one step forward a day, no matter how small.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Mine is from one of my all-time favorite TV shows. Well, it's not really my favorite anymore but I'm still known in certain circles by this screenname.

My avatar is only because I am the biggest Jacksonville Jaguars fan alive and grew up rooting for another team in which I won't name.

 

Mine is pretty self-explanatory. :wink: Plus, I couldn't come up with any thing else. LOL.

The 616 refers to my birthday.

 

I never try to take myself too seriously, and I remember david letterman talking about how he wanted one of the silliest names for his production company, worldwide pants. So I thought of one of the silliest names or words I had ever heard of and I always seem to go back to one of the funniest movies I ever saw, "I-Spy" with eddie murphy. He and owen wilson were talking about some kinda gelatin you apply to your body that would make you fly...like a "jelly-bird!"

 

I always enjoyed mythology, and I like Loki's characteristics.

 

interesting topic! ok, so D and I are the first letters of my name. but that's not the end of my story. lol My friend started call me D.I. because of my strong resembance to T.I. :lol:

I was 23 years old when I joined this forum, and "Pinnacle" is my self-given nickname that represents my approach to challenges, ambitions, and journeys in life. I plan to be the pinnacle/acme/zenith of myself. I plan to be the best at what I can bring to the world...I plan to be known for successfully bringing big and creative ideas to fruition on as consistent a basis as possible. Mines is pretty simple it is my nickname amongst friends. The "G" in it for people who don't know hood talk means somebody that is gangsta but before you think that in that way, I call myself a gangsta(or G) as is in I think therefore Iam. Which means I have something about me that is gangsta. And that is my respect I earned in a rough neighborhood, where people don't bother me, I stay drama free unless my ex come around :lol: But in the hood when your known not to be messed with and the neighborhood respect thats known as being gangsta-like.

 

Mine is based on soul brothers who are thinkers like Robeson,Newton,Cleaver,Malcolm X,and others.

 

Nickname my Sgt. gave me when I was in the military...I was also called "Hennessy" (like the cognac) but I like Henrock better.
