Please help me with prayers for my baby brother. One of the bites he got from a pit bull attack became infected and has turned into a case of sepsis. He's not doing well at all, and he needs all the prayers he can get. Please & thank you.
Thanks so much, everyone! :freehug: It's been so scary, especially with the half-assed treatment he's been getting since he has no health insurance. I've been having nightmares about amputated limbs and death, and it's been freaking me out. They should have admitted him when they found out it was sepsis, but all they did was drain some of the junk from the wound with a giant needle, call in a prescription, and send him on his way. It wasn't long before he headed back to the ER; this time at a different hospital. They refused to help him, so he went back to the first one. That time they kept him, put him on IV antibiotics, lanced the wound and thoroughly cleaned it out. Now we're just waiting to see if the antibiotics will knock out the infection. I've been waiting to hear more details, but I haven't gotten any updates yet. Thanks again for the thoughts & prayers; I appreciate it so much.
Thanks for the update. It's so disheartening that people fuck around when it comes to serious matters like this. The very people you think/should be able to rely on especially when time is so precious when it comes to infections. Yet they turn you away with no regard. Looking forward to hearing the good news. X

Why did the second hospital turn him away? It's Federal Law to accept every one, regardless if they can pay or not. Hope he's recovering well.
