Ahhh someone doesn't remember the 08 crash huh.
That's trading based on movement. Movement doesn't always mean consumer involvement movement can and right now means shares being bought and sold bringing the money of small fish investors who will lose their shirts once the mass sell offs occur.
In other words it's bait to bring in people who have delusions of getting rich while the rich people make money off of them.
Is it bait? You really can't prove that yet. Again, overbuying doesn't always translate to a resounding crash ..once the profits reach their max, yes there is a counterbalance, but it's better than panic selling from the git-go. We know how the market works and right now its on a great high.

A very limited, short term advantage and only if they are going to sell their stock while its overbought. Then they still have to wait until the market corrects itself before they invest into it again.
That's even if they are even smart enough to realize when it's overbought. Otherwise they are just holding the stock like everyone else looking at a superficial value only to gain absolutely nothing when the market corrects itself.

An overbought market just makes most people think the economy is doing better than it is. Just like your "consumer confidence" post implied.

An oversold market also has it's limited advantages that are just as good as an overbought one.
I don't disagree, but l will say it depends on the stock. The crash in 08 to a degree came as a result of unsecured bundled housing loans ( l believe Korean investors took a huge hit if my memory serves me).
I'm curious, do you also see a market crash in months like TDK does?

Actually, Obama did respond a lot of the time. He did it in speeches and at gatherings. Defending yourself whether by tweet or at the podium..is the same thing.

I agree that Trump's crowd in person was not the biggest, but there was way more than when that pic was taken. CNN by their own doing, posted a 360 d shot that clearly shows more people, or appears to be more, than the arial shot shown.

Also, as was noted, when you combine all viewership from devices and tv, etc, the numbers are indeed very high.
But as for attendance in Washington DC on the Monument, Obama had the most. Pretty sure most every resident from the DMV made their way there that day to see Obama sworn in.

As l noted in earlier posts, you really have no leg to stand on with your complaint that he "takes time away from running the country" to tweet - have you seen the time he's put into our country in just his first week?
First off Obama NEVER did all this angry mocking he might poke fun like "I have no more races to run because I won both of them"
He wouldn't say dumb shut in tweet like Meryl Streep isn't a good actress, he wouldn't say people protesting were sore losers and suggest they should vote. They are nowhere near the same and you know it. There is nothing presidential about this man let alone anything adult.

You're happy with repealing Obamacare with no replacement, the new abortion restrictions, and the Muslim ban?

Wait and see for him to do what? Ban and entire religion from entering the country? Deprive millions of people of healthcare? Appoint judges who undo marriage equality? Make split-second decisions based on what looks and sounds good rather what will actually work for the country long term? Wait for him to keep acting like a thin-skinned infant who keeps having to remind everyone in earshot at all times how awesome he is and how big his "crowds" are?

And for the last time, bragging about sexual assault isn't a "crude locker room comment," it's bragging about sexual assault. Having been in a men's locker room before I can promise you that kind of talk isn't that common. And it isn't about the fact that he tweets "rude things" it's about the fact that the 70 year old commander in chief of the armed forces handles conflicts and insults like he's still in middle school.

Donald J. Trump is a sexist, racist, corrupt, willfully ignorant clown and having him as President makes this country look like we've lost our damn minds. As you can tell from the comments on this thread, I'm not the only one who feels that way. If you want to keep being Trump's press secretary then fine, have at it. But until Trump himself changes his own behavior then you trying to spin his words and actions is going to keep being an uphill battle.
I always love the give him a chance rhetoric. If for a year straight Obama talked about how the do nothing Midwest was holding us back and that rust belt cities were costing us billions in healthcare and education subsidies as well as banning people from Ireland because terrorism happens there. There would be an immediate cry of him being anti white and not a single person would play wait and see.

Oh and look at who's appointed to his cabinet talk about the biggest bold face lie. Will you deny his cabinet picks align with his promises? Drain the swamp? Word?
Not to mention an all star group of racists xenophobes and misogynists.
I'm interested in how you defend that.

I'm aware that IN this thread you're not the only one who feels this way, but it's not how the majority of AMERICANS feel. (and heaps of British people).
The same with your style of locker room banter. Men ( and women( actually do say crude things all the time. He joked about kissing women and that they let him. And then joked yeah, grab them in the pussy..
C'mon Since..that's bs talk..if he actually ran around doing that where are the women? (I think one said he kissed her at Mar a lago...)

Maybe it's because l grew up in Australia and the sex stuff we hear and speak is crazy and then l spent years listening to Howard Stern - l know a sex joke and l understood Trump was BRAGGING.

In any event, his wife spoke out condeming it and Trump apologized for saying his offending comments as did Billy Bush..
As a woman, l didn't take it seriously and get all bent out of shape, just like when Obama made a public covert joke about the fact that Michelle doesn't give him blow jobs. It's all jokes. Bigger fish to fry, IMO.

Not really. They did try to though. They came close but Trump went 16 rounds with a knockout.

See, many people are done with the MSM. Their stronghold is over. There was a longtime saying that one should never argue with the press because they will always have the last word... Well that era is over.
I think you would get that. You like to seek out alternative media, right? I see your YT subscripts. I love that. I may not agree with all you post but l dann well respect that you do your own investigating and don't just accept the MSM.

Of course Trump said some rotten foul things..haven't we all. Should that define his abilities in everything else?
You got a point. I would like to know who exactly is the audience for Mainstream news media? Because it seems like everybody complains about MSM news now.

The majority of Americans do feel the same way. The majority of voters literally voted for the other candidate. So the facts not the alternative ones do suggest they didn't agree with trump

Look, Obama is a master orator.
Make no mistake though - the man got pissed plenty of times, he was merely skillful enough to frame it in a manner that got his digs in by way of polite delivery. Down to his middle finger salute, lol.
Crafty and funny. Loved it.

However, his fawning press fanboys certainly would never frame it as shots when he fired them.

As for Streep, if she bashed Obama on a global stage, pretty sure he'd respond to it. Again..in his slick way, but l sure as he'll would not blame him.

Lastly, you seriously don't think Obama wouldn't have responded if that obnoxious display of screeching women was directed at him?
Stop it, lol. Any human would.

Imagine: from Madonna wanting to Bl ow the White House up, to Judd calling him Hitler, talking period blood and saying he has wet dreams about his daughters, Obama would be pissed.

But really what exactly DID Trump say in response that has you and Since in a tizzy..
Let's examine..

Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy. Even if I don't always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views.

So you mean to tell me those two tweets have you triggered in outrage??
Maaan, l WISH he smacked them down harder. His restraint is commendable and you should be happy it was.

Black Republican should be an oxymoron. As a block group they overwhelmingly either hate brown people or are completely indifferent to anything that happens to them while claiming to be pro life Christians. Awful people

Interesting. Sometimes you say things that make your lack of experience so very clear. I think I'll just let those on here who may want to comment do so.

As a former Republican myself I would disagree with you here. I met many other Black republicans who were genuinely working to better the lives of BP, they chose to work within the GOP to try to change the admittedly persistent racism in the party and to make sure minority voices were represented. You would be surprised TDK at how often ignorance on various issues due to lack of understanding can be seen as racist when it really was more about a lack of understanding because no minority voices were present to educate. IMO it will always be important to have minority voices at every level and it every political group, the world is becoming a much smaller place every day.

First off celebs like Limbaugh and Beck and Trump went at Obama relentlessly. Where was his public clap back then?
And the Tea Party movement protested Obama for years I don't remember any comments then do You?

And Trump saying why didn't these women vote was a clear attempt to delegimatize these women. Who says they didn't vote or that these were people who voted and changed their minds.

You got a point. I would like to know who exactly is the audience for Mainstream news media? Because it seems like everybody complains about MSM news now.

It's interesting how Bliss rails against MSM for their bias, yet has no problem posting links from hate groups and openly right wing media groups as sources, while ignoring their bias and claiming ignorance of their origins. It's clear to me that she will not be moved from her stance that Obama/Clinton = "bad" and Trump = "good/let's give him a chance" no matter what happens. For someone who has so much compassion and empathy for animals and children, and has shown intelligence on non-political topics, she has a real blind spot (intentional or not) when it comes to why so many minorities and women find Trump so objectionable.

I want to respond to your false "Muslim ban" claim ( Obama did the same to Iraqis but it was a SIX MONTH BAN!) but l'm losing my day, here so l will catch up later on that...

I did however, want to point out that your post here is hog-wash when you honestly crunch the numbers.

I can show you links, but it's a fact that out of more than 3000 U.S counties, Clinton only won about 200 or so. Huuge difference.

Furthermore, the millions number you quote was garnered from CA and NY's population. Surprise.
No surprise.

Combine it with the fact that the Migration Policy Institute acknowledge that 1 million illegal immigrants ALONE, live in Los Angeles County...
That's ONE County, TDK.

Then throw in this nugget:

"California Assembly Bill 60 ( AB-60) is a bill passed into law that, in effect, allows illegal immigrants to the United States to apply for a California driver's license with the CA Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)."

You're a smart man..you're an accountant...you can put two and two together..you do the math.

One more thing... Jill Stein (was told by Hillary to) abruptly pull the plug on her recount lawsuit because the numbers were coming back that Trump gained more votes...Ouch.
(some of those judges gave her an out, lol)

I never said there wasn't individuals who vote Republican who don't act decently but my it's clear as a voting block whether in Congress or as constituents the tone doesn't change. Constant imposing on people's lives even though they're suppose to be the party who values liberty, people who advocate so damn hard for pro life but love to cut funding for food stamps housing and education. How on earth does that help every day Americans. They constantly support and pass laws that oppress people of color and why is it that damn near every racist happens to be Reagan/Bush/Trump supporting Republican.
They never seem to care about anything that will benefit all Americans they seem more interested in stark individualism fuck who it hurts as long as I get mine mentality. The swaths of people chanting build that wall or who want to repeal Obamacare never seem to wear Blue. They always seem to be the ones making mountains of excuses for cops killing unarmed black people. Even if running away and having evidence planted they can't bring themselves to convict. I stand by what I said until I see measurable difference not just lip service.

Firstly if it's a ban when Obama did it don't put up quotations now that it's your guy . And honestly I wasn't aware of the Obama doing that, I would have been upset then too if the media actually did it's real job.
The huge difference here is that Trump surrounds himself with loud and proud racists that makes this ban feel totally different. You can't spend over a year dividing and scaring people and then laugh just kidding. I'm still waiting for your response on his cabinet picks and his appointments.
As for the illegal immigrant voting thing I'm not even going there with you because it's straight bullshit.
Spend five minutes with an undocumented person. Hire some to do some work for you and you'll see these people are either too damn busy working or too damn anxious about deportation to vote in a presidential election. If you were in a country illegally would participating in their elections be a priority to you?

Loki, you never take into account your hate group and -left wing media groups who have merely and sneakily dressed themselves up as MSM.
l don't really care if it's Left or Right publications, if they report the truth. Both media sides screw up, and we all here have - and that includes you.
At LEAST l will publish links from Left rags..at least l like Obama as a man and his historical win, even if l dislike his policies...you on the otherhand, will never like Trump which is absolutely fine ( l don't like things about his personality) but along with your dislike you won't ever acknowledge his positive moves for our country.

I really would like to know how you feel Trump's pledges are going to HURT American Minorities and American women?
Its a serious question. I'm interested in why you say that..

I'm betting you're getting your information from MSM.
While the MSM were still discussing his innaguration sizes on CNN with 20 panelists, he was making deals left and right, repaired the damaged relationship with Israel, met with auto industry CEO's AND Union bosses in the same meeting, who btw said in their collective memory no President ever asked them (union heads) to come to the WH to speak to him...he withdrew the U.S from TTP, he approved the DAP and ordered American Steel and stipulated that the U.S recieve oil too..he signed orders to expel illegal immigrants who commit violent crimes, signed orders to revitalize the military and vowed the end of wasteful military spending from the private sector, and froze Govt hiring, implemented a 30 day suspension of refugees from terror cell nations ..with tougher vetting implemented..ok there's more but l'm tired..evidently Trump isn't though. And he barely sleeps. Sheesh.

Yes, I do read/listen to MSM as Fox, Breitbart and the like just don't do it for me. I realize that in your mind they're not good sources. You seem to be impressed by this "man of action" who regularly acts like a petulant child when someone has the nerve to disagree with him and his continuous lies. That alone is mindboggling as I think you're clearly an intelligent person and... you're a participant on a message board such as this one. Go figure. I know for a fact that the crap he said about the automobile industry is total BS. Of course that's just the tip of the iceberg. I get taking on a strategy of being unconventional, but Trump shows us daily that he's a horrible hate-filled person, with nothing but yes-people around him. He's alienating groups and countries at an insane pace and you admire this???? As far as I'm concerned the midterm elections and 2020 can't get here soon enough.

Can't really say that because I'm not actively trading right now so I don't know where we are in the business cycle. (And haven't looked because I don't care to know right now)

Once the economy starts to contract it's likely going to go into a recession because Chump has a "supply side" policy. You also have the fact that the market has been rallying before his policy can even be placed into action.

Without even doing an analysis of the market. I can easily see downward potential by those facts alone. I'll wait for the ride to be at least halfway done before I start analyzing the market to plan for my return. Thats just a better use of my time. I understand TDK doesn't have that luxury due to it being his current profession.

Bliss you are being very disingenuous if you are equating groups that are literally on "hatewatch" lists and the MSM. I have used sources from both liberal and conservative sites, the difference between us Bliss is that I don't take either at face value and understand that both sides use spin and the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

As far as Trump, you have not seen me comment on his actions as president so don't assume that I'm unfairly against him. While it's true I Strongly condemned a lot of his comments and actions during the campaign, chief among them his sexist actions (its intereting as vocal as you have been about Cosby, you are silent about the multiple rape claims against Trump, which include child rape) and the blatent racism of his birther claims, I will be fair if I have criticisms of Trump policies and will not shy away from praise if I agree with him.

You mention how he could hurt women, he is on record when it comes to abortion issues and "punishing" women who have them, although he did walk that comment back after a backlash. As far as minorities, his cabinet appointees, raise a lot of red flags with ties to the alt right, and I will be watching closely.

Bottom line for me is I agree with President Obama that we have to want Trump to to well for the country as well as holding him accountable.
