Black Farmer Calls Out Liberal Racism In Powerful Facebook Message

What's an IR community? Does that mean you have to be in an IR relationship to live there? In that case wouldn't people (like you said) sue?

Lol..........ok

Keep knocking yourself out, like you've been doing.

Lol
No. They can't sue, because we don't discriminate on the basis of race. See the difference?
We can however, legally discriminate on the basis of human ideologies - if you're racist or a separatist, we won't sell to you, however we do sell to all races.

So you still sell to wm and ww, and bm and bw?

If so, that's not an IR community. That's your average neighborhood in Central Florida as well as many other places like Southern California.

You are not starting anything......lol. All you are doing is saying we don't discriminate......whoopty do. The only thing we need to do now is get the other 90 percent of America on board.

You should I think it would be great but I think black people need to develop their own nice neighborhoods. Every other group in this country has a haven. A place they can go to if they need to. Why should we be excluded from that?
No one is excluding Black people to live in a nice neighborhood. You're excluding others (except Blacks) to do so. Name one neighborhood that excludes Black people?

If you have the capital to buy a property, you can live where you want to. Your housing rules is called segregation.
If that is what you want, then March and vote for laws to be changed.

If a BM and BW wanted to live in my IR community, l have no problem. If they are about one goal - love and prosperity for the community regardless of race- then why not? They'd be great neighbors. My ultimate aim is race inclusivity in the community.

Good article, and Newman is spot on with his comments. I'll be the first to admit that racist/profiling toward minorities is not only coming from rednecks and so on. I'm keenly aware that while progressive urban areas tend to be the more tolerant safer zones for minorities... it doesn't at all mean I can let my guard down. Since I'm in I/T, I usually dress down for work, and even here on campus which is largely liberal land in liberal Washington, DC I've gotten it. Usually not from students, but more from staff and security.

You don't know what kind of neighbors they are until they move in. How can a woman who has traveled the globe still believe in fairy tales.

Stop trolling

Lol

This isn't rocket science, Beasty. No person who hates a particular race wants to live near that race. Are you serious?
However to those that WANT TO, you are welcome here. The law backs me up on it.

Read this article a few days ago. It's a weird world fam. If I could get the financing I would love to start developing some black cul de sacs or some black gated communities. It sucks to bust your ass to deal with this shit

TDK, I totally get your feeling and see your point here. Sadly, I've had some times where I simply didn't want to see any face that wasn't a similar shade of my own. Good example was the day Zimmerman walked for murdering Trayvon Martin, but then I remember those white people who are near and dear to me and even some here at WWBM. I definitely feel like black people as a group need to work together and leave behind the crabs in a barrel mentality. In terms of living situations, I personally still lean toward the diverse areas. That's primarily why when I moved to the DC area, I avoided living in Prince George's county. I chose Montgomery county as it's school system is excellent (I was just 30 y/o at the time and the idea of children was still on the table), but also because ost of the areas are incredibly diverse. when I purchased my towne house one thing that really attracted me to that development was that the residents truly formed a melting pot. Coming back to your point.... Yes, It would be nice to see such an area that's desirable. Like other areas, it doesn't exclude anyone who's not black. Heck, I once had an apartment right in the middle of a heavily Jewish area.

Then why are black people in America to begin with?
Its not as simple as love and hate. If so how do you explain the term "house negro?" How do you explain black people who lived in the house when they were still treated as beneath "massa?"

I'm not saying you're excluding but honestly I'm sick of this mentality that we need permission, that we need to be invited into a nice area. Every time we talk about being inclusive it's usually about letting a marginalized group in and I don't want to be let in I want an area that we can call home. A place that isn't up to the discretion of others to say whether we are welcomed or not. You're white Bliss regardless of what you think the same layers of exclusion don't exist for you. Every day it seems like black people have to say mother may I just to exist.

I'm all for melting pots but I want to see a place where the welcome for black people is automatic not some shit where we wait with baited breath to see if we can simply live.
My girl comes from a group of people that are so inclusive of their people and when you see it's such culture shock because the only price of entry is how you came into the world.
I'm not saying I'd live there since I have friends from different walks of life hell I have a few nieces and nephews who are "biracial" I just want to know a haven exists. Literally every single other group has this why shouldn't we

I honestly don't get your point here as it pertains to our discussion. What does slavery have to do with a prosperous multicultural neigborhood? Is that your argument here -"House Negro" treatment?

So the best response to YOUR feelings about living in a neighborhood, is to create an exclusive one just for people of color?
I know what you're saying TDK, but do you know what you're saying?

Tell me more about this neighborhood that you want. What's the criteria? Can any person of color live there? Does the one drop rule apply? Can a White or Asian family member come stay for Christmas? What about single mothers with mixed kids?

Why stop at neigborhoods. Would you like a separate city? State? We could paint a no-go zone. Blacks ONLY.
Would that work for you?
Your frustration lacks thought and is purely emotional.
The problem l think is YOU don't feel like you belong, because you've let others dictate that to you.
This is YOUR Country...claim her, stop giving other people power to take her from you and make you feel like you don't belong.
Nothing screams "l don't like you, you don't like me, than segregation and self-imposed segregation.
I always repeat what Flaming said: "This is your country, it's the only one you've got". (you may feel different because you can always go to Jamaica), but his point is powerful. Stand your ground.

FYI, my whiteness gave me no such privilege in my country of birth, nor my people, but the first generation claimed it and it's ours. Australia belongs to my people now. That's how we do. :--)

It's also why l fight so hard for my new country. :--)

There are STILL neighbourhoods and communities that are majority white that 'exclude' bp. Think sundown towns, that STILL exist as of today. The laws may have changed but the culture and attitude towards bp from ww in many many parts of the Northeast, Midwest and the South is still shocking negative. It's called 'colourblind racism' now.

De facto segregation still exists, 90% wp STILL live in neighbourhoods that are almost exclusively white (same for bp). This is NO accident, it is a direct result of the laws/policies in the past and attitudes/culture in the present.

America hasn't really improved that much both ideological and economically vis-sa-vis the black/white binary. And the federally and state/local government as done little to actually address this on going problem. Busing was a complete and utter failure because of the two factors I mentioned above. As was any and every attempt to rectify the problems. Outside of the big cities, America is largely segregated, and will remain that for years to come.

Bliss your privilege is showing. So basically every group and subgroup gets a haven of safety and again black people are excluded. If gay people or women wanted to do this you wouldn't say a damn thing. Wanting safety and prosperity is ok for everyone else but black people have to endure and wait for everyone else to be inclusive smh.

So let's work to make it more segregated.
And sorry, l see a huge shift in multicultural assimilation in neighborhoods in my time here. Got to keep shoving that damn door open.

I think the issue is more riff-Raff based from either sides. Everyone decent l know wants to live in clean, safe, and peaceful spaces.

Dont want to speak for Beasty or TDK, but I believe what they are trying to say is that it gets very tiring and insulting to have to put up with being viewed as a "threat", or out of place in a certain area, or a "reason to call the police", just because you exist and are living your life. You are correct in your previous posts that fair housing laws prohibit discrimination based on ethnicity/race, that is federal/nationwide firmly established law. I think what some here are saying is that it would be nice to have a place(s) where they could relax and not have to deal with that kind of bigotry. I do think it could lead to a slippery slope of self imposed segregation however, and in my opinion that is moving backwards not forward.

Where did l say every other group gets it. YOU keep saying it but you can't name me one exclusive ALL one neighborhood.
Name them TDK.
Otherwise you're a segragation supporter. You love to complain but surely your proposal adds to it.
