Skin lightening (to the extent that Sosa did it) among Afro-latinos is rare, but self-loathing and aversion to association with black Americans is not.

I love when people try to claim their nationality as their race.

I actually didn't find out until recently that only like 5 percent of Africans ended up in the US. Didn't know it was such a small fraction, so it's hilarious how many motherfuckers trying to act like they aren't the same as us. That boy look like Urkel. Not black my ass.

There was no civil rights movement in Latin America. As many problems as black people in the US have, things are much worse in Spanish-speaking countries.

Yet these motherfuckers have no issue coming to America and enjoying rights that were won by the blood, sweat and tears of black Americans while trying to look down their noses at us.

Sosa always seemed to be a grounded and happy-go-lucky fella when he was still in MLB. Once he was identified as a juicer and left MLB... He's gone down down a strange road.
