Okay, I couldn't find the actress' (Abby Quinn) birthdate anywhere.
I only know this because of an interview with the writer/director on the "The Treatment" podcast.

LOL, they now resort to claiming BW created Feminism & WW stole it from them. Black Feminists are delusional.
WW don't realize how many BW hate them. Hate them even more than WM actually. Which is why I laugh at leftist white women in particular worshiping at the altars of Beyonce, Rhianna, Oprah, Ava, Lupita, etc.
Not until l came to this country did l learn this. A rude awakening. Heartbreaking actually. I adored them growing up, of what l was exposed to from afar.WW don't realize how many BW hate them. Hate them even more than WM actually. Which is why I laugh at leftist white women in particular worshiping at the altars of Beyonce, Rhianna, Oprah, Ava, Lupita, etc.
Yeah seeing how much BW hate WW made me realize BM don't really hate WM like that. BM hate racism more so than specifically WM.WW don't realize how many BW hate them. Hate them even more than WM actually. Which is why I laugh at leftist white women in particular worshiping at the altars of Beyonce, Rhianna, Oprah, Ava, Lupita, etc.
Well, it is a movie shown in arthouse theaters so I guess one can excuse it for being artsy. It does have a lot of conversations but none that last too long. But the main takeaway is how people ate it up and laughed and enjoyed themselves while watching it. Its jokes landed far more than those from Hollywood comedies that flood the market. I respect Woody Allen as a filmmaker but I'm not one to see most of his work and Landline is not anything like a Woody Allen film. The people in the film are not that self-absorbed nor do they talk on endlessly. You get in and out of scenes quickly. There aren't any neurotic characters and there are people of color everywhere in the film. That's as far away from Woody as you can get. The similarities are that it takes place in NYC and that the characters are of (partly) Jewish heritage. I see a lot of these independent films and trust me I don't recommend all of them to people to see at the movie theaters. Recent ones I caught in theaters like "Bandaid" and "Beatrice at Dinner" were so-so artsy movies not worth the hype that you can definitely catch on cable on days you got nothing better to do. Nothing wrong with catching "Landline" on cable or streaming either. But, just like 'The Big SicK', I feel its actually worth seeing in the theaters if its playing nearby. And I support stuff like that because I hate that movie theaters are increasingly becoming venues only for superhero films, expensive YA adaptations and bloated thrillers/mysteries. But to each his/her own. "Landline" is being distributed by Amazon anyway so once its short window in theaters is over it will be something people can stream pretty soon.
BTw I take no offense at your remarks. I didn't see you as trying to knock my enthusiasm or anything. Its all good.
@Bliss From your experience is this true? (Skip to the 5:55 mark):Not until l came to this country did l learn this. A rude awakening. Heartbreaking actually. I adored them growing up, of what l was exposed to from afar.
I know some beautifully souled BW and most l meet take to me, and l to them. Get along great.
It's the online women that trouble me. The venim and hate is...overwhelming. It forced me to become defensive. Didn't understand where the hate came from. Blamed for every wrong. WW called every type of name. So l don't really reach out anymore, just to those BW in my life whom l love and respect, and strangers who l meet along the way who are not prejudiced/racist and are who are lovely humans to everyone.
Well now...very interesting, indeed.
I was specfically asking about is it true about the part where he says that BW will be friendly or friends with WW, but turn on that WW when they find out she's into BM.Well now...very interesting, indeed.
His video could open a barrage of topics.
I will say this, he kept harping on the fact that,
"..Once you (BM) tell a white woman that you don't like black women, she will mistreat you, because she doesn't have. BW as competition to keep her on her toes, and that even if you do not like black women - tell her you do, so she will always treat you better because she thinks she competing with other black women.."
I don't necessarily agree with that because #1.) I feel if a man doesn't like Black women et al, l would hope his concern would not be potential mistreatment by revealing it, but rather, he'd run a higher risk of losing some of her *respect for him.. To feel so hard that he completely cuts out another 'race' of women...well, that bodes a little to his character, right?
(Now if it's a certain type of Black woman/behavior, then that would be understandable)
#2.) If he tells you that he doesn't like black women, it's not then a 'sure thing' for a WW from there on out, because WW are still in direct competition with other white women who like black men. So competition will always be there, regardless. Thusly, (other than treating you man well because you love him smh), if competition is your motivation, that never stops just because he doesn't like black women.
I personally couldn't care less if he likes both types, it makes him normal as it should be. (The ones you worry about are the DL men. That's a 16-rounder to keep your man, lol. No thanks. Not worth the fight. Bye.)
#3)If a man doesn't like black women for whatever reason/s, it can also motivate a white woman to treat him even better. Because, it's actually an honor to be loved by a great man, but in particular, a black man, who actually puts a lot on the line to be with you - he cops it from his end just as much as white women do, so for this reason as well, it makes a WW appreciate a BM more.
I got to about 7 minutes and this entire thing is horseshit.
I have not found that to be true as a whole.I was specfically asking about is it true about the part where he says that BW will be friendly or friends with WW, but turn on that WW when they find out she's into BM.
I read a spoiler that the Bachelorette picked the White guy of the three. Shocked, l tell ya.White society has placed white men on an even bigger pedestal than white women. And that's because white men have been running white society all along. Western society has made it clear that white males are the idealized man. Not just in terms of money but power, authority, paternal responsibility, bravery, inventiveness and, yes, looks. So black men have had to complete against that forever in the USA. Let's stop pretending as if only black women had to deal with that bullshit. But unlike black women, black men have never gotten a fullcourt press from the black community to promote their beauty to the masses. Black women in today's mainstream media are more likely to be referred to as sex symbols than black guys (in part because the entertainment industry seems to only have use for gorgeous black female for the music, television and film industries). Great looking black men on the other hand have historically been more of a threat to white society because they mean competition for white males. There have been studies on how straight black men don't get hired as easily as gay black men for the same office jobs. That all comes down to straight white guys don't want to compete. Thus in our society the looks of Black men are downplayed because people are uncomfortable with black male sexuality.
White males' sexuality on the other hand is played up. It's emphasized. And it is portrayed purposely in a way to make white men desirable to all women. That's why in movies they romance and bed women of all races. It's why virtually every drama or action film with a white male lead must include a romantic conquest if not a love scene. And all of this media bombardment has made white dudes the standard bearer of male beauty. It shows in how while some women, of all races, are not yet willing to accept a black male character as the male portion of an on-screen couple, almost no women reject white males in that position. And people are worrying that black women are getting a bad break? The media has been putting out a negative image of Black men forever. They are portrayed as bad men, criminals, bad fathers, non-romantic, less handsome, less driven, less important, etc. There are no cartoon characters or heroic princes or leading franchise characters that look like black men who can boost how good black boys feel about themselves. There is no one out there who seem to be even pushing the idea unlike the folks who make it their goal to boost the morale of Black girls. Black males are told from childhood that they are the enemy of society. No one does a thing for them on these fronts. But fortunately black males have their own internal swag that allows them to have their share of self-confidence.
I don't doubt the obstacles black women have faced in terms of being viewed as desirable. But black women have had the benefit of winning Miss America contests and being the focus of shows like the Bachelorette too. The situation increasingly gets better for them. Forgive me if I don't shed any tears. No one has ever given black people anything in this country.

Curious..In what world is Serena viewed as a sex-symbol?. The most famous black female athlete Serena Williams is considered sexy by a lot of people, she's a sex symbol in the media. The most famous black male athlete Lebron James or Steph Curry aren't. Fans have mostly made Odell Beckham, jr a sex symbol the media for the most part ignores that. But that is mostly where fame as far as famous black guys comes from, the fans. The media always wants to downplay it though.
You re pointing to extraordinary exceptions in entertainment and your points are spot on but in terms of everyday people I see ordinary everyday black men always with someone. I've never heard of a black guy who was single for 5 years or more unless he's locked black women on the other hand find that shit common.White society has placed white men on an even bigger pedestal than white women. Well let's be fair the most accomplished tennis player doesn't get the most endorsements the pretty blonde girl does.![]()
I have pointed out before that IR has been happening on tv and in movies LONG before when the media lead us on to when Most of it has been has involved white men. I was watching a old episode of Sea Hunt last week where he kissed a asian woman on the show. This show ran from 1958 to 1961. There were states, before they banned ALL IR marriages, there were states that allowed white men to marry whoever they wanted regardless of race. White man's world is a real analogy of the U.S.. A black man damn near have to be perfect from looks, to career, can't get into trouble, ect. especially if they are famous!
Everything you described is exactly HOW black men are treated secondary to white men more than black women are treated secondary to white women. The most famous black female athlete Serena Williams is considered sexy by a lot of people, she's a sex symbol in the media. The most famous black male athlete Lebron James or Steph Curry aren't. I have not found that to be true as a whole.
Most whom I've befriended know from the jump by my man, and those who are strangers, once they find out, don't outwardly express distaste. That's not to say a few aren't just being polite and behind closed doors don't like it..lDK.. I prefer authenticity. If you don't like IR, don't pretend you're ok with it. I try to keep those kind of characters at a distance from me in my life, but it's not always possible, work environments being an example. When someone doesn't like you because of your race or choice of partners, their dislike is often palpable. It's very sad.
We already know that W/BM are the most hated, the most interfered with pairing on the planet. People are obsessed with it, and obsessed with keeping us apart. I always say you have to have a strength of character fon IR and an iron stomach for people's reactions.
