Now that's very peaceful. I love oceans but lakes are nice too. Plenty of beautiful lakes in Florida.

 

The thing is everyone (men and women) have too many options in this day and age. That gets into their heads. Everybody thinks they are still waiting for a better option in job, place to live, significant other. And time is passing and before they're ready to have a family they are 40. That might work for men but not always for women.
That's what I like about Africans. They have family values. Am yet to meet any African who debates whether to settle down and have kids or not. That's even one of the reasons I ended up with one. German guys will be there wasting your time for 10 years just playing house and doing their hobbies. Getting married is a problem, having kids is a problem. With our current birthrate we will get ourselves extinct very soon in this country.

 

Attack and defense in correct proportion. Jollof Rice making ability. So I hear;-)

 

We have more than enough people on this earth a decline in birthrate would not be a bad thing. I would love us to get down to about half of what is now

Maybe I will maybe I won't but I don't think this pro family approach as a way to bring more people into an already overpopulated earth makes any sense. If some men don't want to have kids and get married good for them.

 

I know that this planet as a whole has enough people. However my country cannot sustain its social security system and retirement insurance and health care system on the birthrate we have now at all. That's why they are even trying to put incentives in place to get young people interested in having family again. Cos we as a people as a whole seem to be tired of reproducing which is an odd development for a society if you come to think of it. Might not be an American issue, so never mind.

 

Fair enough, but is the man who's non-commital any less of a man? I think you describe a man with good qualities who is ready to be a family man.

 

That definitely happens a lot. One of my pet peeves is the guessing thing. My thing is... say what you mean and mean what you say. If there's something you want from me.... Don't throw subtle hints... be direct and tell me.

 

Yeah the question itself is a set-up for argument. Of course the answers to that question are highly subjective.
