...In music video about sleeping with her ex's friends Sophie Elise Isachsen has revealed that she received death threats and racist abuse after her latest music video in which she stars against a black actor. She was horrified when abusive comments began pouring in online in response to the love story between herself and her co-star in the video to her single All Of Your Friends. The 22-year-old says she has been left scared to leave her home after the abuse and threats, calling the experience 'the most brutal thing I've seen in my life'. The singer said she had expected some people to take offence to the lyrics, but never that her co-star's skin colour would provoke reactions. By Wednesday, it had been viewed some 250,000 times, but the comments section underneath has had to be turned off after it became filled with 'death threats, racist and sexist abuse'. 'I think [the abuse] is sick. I dont know what to say, I'm shocked,' the 22-year-old told Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang. 'I have been proud of the video from the start, but now it's suddenly much more important than I had planned." I can tell she doesn't experience much racism, most people that don't have that kind of response when they do. Wished more people had that response, but it just goes to show at least in America how racism and bigotry is becoming more and more normalized.
I was in Sweden, close to Norway a bout 2 months ago. Saw mixed people everywhere as there are a lot of Africans there. It was a beautiful thing, gorgeous white women everywhere hand in hand with Africans nobody batted an eye. Wish I could've stayed longer.
