Sexual Harassment/Assault Scandals

So had a weird situation at work. It was late and it was me and two other coworkers both women and one a new secretary. I said we all leave together since its late at night. The associate's husband came to pick her up so I was left with the secretary and I stayed in the hallway in full view of the camera the entire time. We walked outside and she said her bus stop was a few blocks away and asked if I was walking in that direction. I said no I was going to the lot to get my car. She lingered for a second and said her stop was a good ten minute walk. I know she wanted to ask for a ride but I left her there by herself at night. When I got to the car I felt bad she's a middle age woman who could pass for my mom and I know offering a ride is the right thing to do. But my company just had a whole workshop about subordinates and seniors being alone together even outside of work not to mention the climate we're in right now. An accusation true or not can ruin lives and careers.

It's really sad that it's become this way!

And...the thing is, now there is uber/lyft, etc. She knows how far the walk is and what the situation is. She needs to make other arrangements.

Women brought it on themselves. It's called gender equality. Let them eat cake

Harvey Levin must be upset that James Franco got snubbed, they are bringing up Kobe Bryant's past cheating sex scandal because he got nominated for an Oscar. Now all of a sudden they are putting Kobe's past up, but end up equating it to Aziz Ansari. LOL!

But peep some of their headlines on Kobe before this James Franco snub and Kobe nomination.

Kobe is a cheater not a sex offender. He had sex willingly with a woman who sexed 3 men before Kobe on the same night, that's one of the reasons why she dropped criminal charges, not because of the BS she said or she wouldn't have pursued civil charges. People called BS on her and his contradicting statement(which sounded like he was coerced into reading that to help this thing go away.) after she dropped criminal charges and went after the money. Which Kobe ever denied giving her a dime. People moved on including his accuser. Kobe gained a lot of LOVE and redemption and forgiveness(even though the only person if she chose to forgiveness should matter is his wife, Vanessa.) throughout the rest of his career. TMZ just went after the wrong one and have already received backlash for it. Kobe has millions of supporters, a lot of famous fans and international status... choose your battles carefully. If any of these women in the #MeToo movement move on this TMZ hitpiece they are going to fuck up big time.
Wait what? Kobe was nominated for an Oscar? WTH? lol

Two questions:
Why did you say "we all leave together since it's late at night" but then have no problem leaving your co-worker to walk alone late at night?

Also, would you have offered the lift to the bus stop if it was a male co-worker?
Honest answer please.

This is the sad reality of when it comes to listening to these misandrist and being all like "all men are trash". When your sisters aren't there to help you, those good men that these women are teaching you to lump in with trashy men are who you going to need. There are real dangers out there, rapist, thieves, kidnappers, killers ,ect. Civilian women don't have the type of protection like these famous women they follow have. And they are teaching these women to take sexual claims way too far where a smile could be seen as offensive if interpret wrong due to fear/hatred of men. It reminds me of how my Father had to help his racist white classmate out from being jumped by white bullies, this kid when around his white friends used to call him and his friend porchmonkeys. The kid had friends outside of school, but in school was bullied and it was my dad helped him hide in his locker from I think he said 6 or 7 kids.

I take classes at the local community college, and I've never felt more self-conscious about these nineteen-year-old girls in skintight workout clothes, giving me hard looks because they thought "the dirty old man" (me) was checking them out.

I thought the same thing but she had an older phone I don't think the woman was that into to tech to have the uber or lyft app on her phone, but I will keep it in my mind to keep cash on me to offer a cab because I felt absolutely awful it's late at night and its cold, I don't want to get to a place where our humanity has to go away because some people are assholes.

I said we all leave together since I was the senior and couldn't leave until everyone left and didn't want to be left alone with any woman alone. And to the second question more than likely not but maybe since the same threat doesn't exist male to male.

Terry Crewes begs to differ. I get what you're saying though.

Seriously where does that leave us. How do we interact now? Are we going to voluntarily live like these oppressive Muslim regimes we don't like where women can only be around men in their families until its time to get married?

Doesn't sound too good to me to leave a woman somewhere alone at night but if you say you guys even had a workshop on such things...the only thing might have been to tell her straight up you are sorry you would take her along but because of the company policies and general situation you can't do it anymore unfortunately. That way at least she knows you are not just a horrible person.

That's a really nice idea. However, again, it's part of what we have to in life. She should have money herself, have a friend give her a ride, or something set up. She could have asked one of the other women to give her a ride.

We all need to protect ourselves.
