BM/WW IR sightings on TV

Notice the places she said the death threats are coming from. All places on the internet. People too damn bold online until reality hits them and they show you why they are cowards. Pro wrestling fans online are some of the most miserable people. When I watch wrestling here and there and go on some of the hashtags trending most of it is almost always negative. They have major issues. The storyline is crazy, but that is pro wrestling for you. CJ Perry aka Lana seems very strong though. And as a woman that has dated a black guy before she showed in that interview that she probably has dealt with those kind of people before.

You're right the internet has really embolded so many into tough guys. These types of wrestling fans are sometimes referred to as Diva Droolers,
"These guys have no real interest in what’s happening in the ring. All they do is gawk at the divas whenever they come on screen, fantasizing about how much better their life would be if they could marry a female wrestling talent. Most of these guys are single middle aged men who barely know the difference between Stone Cold and Triple H.

But they do know everything about Stephanie McMahon and all of the divas who have wrestled for her, past and present. Fortunately, most of these guys tend to not attend wrestling shows in person, preferring to stare and dream at a safe distance from their lounge rooms. This was more prevalent in the Attitude Era, when divas regularly competed in bra and panties matches and lingerie pillow fights."

What do you also expect from guys like this

They live through the show because their lives are so empty. They seem to be only second to porn fans in that respect, you probably have lots of overlap between to the two fandoms.

I am struggling to make it through this second episode of emergence. The main actress seems like she is dialing it in from her role on Fargo. Does this getting any better?

I'm watching the 4th episode of "Soundtrack" right now & I feel like they need to do a better job of establishing timelines. I'm 20 minutes into the episode and somehow Callie Hernandez's character Nellie is familiar & comfortable with Sam's cousin & friends even though Sam hasn't introduced her to his family/friends before this episode. And Nellie is ready to introduce Sam to her parents. There seems to be some type of time jump.

EDIT:

LOL, I just remembered 1 of y'all mentioned in this thread that the storytelling on this show is non-linear. That explains a lot.

Sometimes shows do that. That's why you have to pay attention. I've been confused by time jumps before thinking that I missed an episode. lol.

SMFH. Whatever y'all do, DO NOT read the cast descriptions on Wikipedia. They're a couple spoilers.

Than again I already suspected those spoilers because I'm 6 episodes into the show & certain characters haven't had any scenes together.

Jenna Dewan? I'm in. Looks like "Soundtrack" will be perfect to binge during the winter break when there's nothing on.

EDIT:

Finally watched the trailer & looks like Jenna Dean isn't involved in the IR.
Nice catch. The lead actor looks familiar but I don't recognize his name or his work.

After watching the 6th episode last night, I think I might've been wrong.

Looks like the only IR(bm/ww) on this show is dunzo, over, finished. lol.

The Jackson character just seems to be fading in this show by the looks of this trailer.
Oh another.Netflix film where the only black people who get to be in love are black girls and gay black people. Straight black men are only a proxy for love triangles where the girl picks a white dude. Smh

CandyJar, Soundtrack and Let It Snow along with some others were the complete opposite. But yeah this concept is OBVIOUSLY racist. And tiresome.

The exceptions not the rule
To All The Boys I've Loved
Perfect Date
Sara Burgess is a loser
On My Block
There's more but the only ones I can think of right this second.

Edit

Also Sabrina 13 Reasons Why. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Dear White People. Santa Clarita Diet.

Netflix producers seem to LOVE gay black men but don't have much use for straight ones

Don't forget "Dear White People" the series. I hear that's the worst offender.

I edited my list before your response lol

I'm SURPRISED y'all watch all those other disappointing Netflix shows, but still pass on watching "Friends from College". It ain't perfect (In fact it completely messy) but it ABSOLUTELY shits on the other shows when it comes to a straight BM having love interests.

I just got done watching the mid-season finale (Season 1, Episode 9) of "Stumptown". LOL, you dudes complain about IR love triangles are gonna be frustrated with this show because this looks like it's gonna be a long drawn-out triangle.

I usually lurk without signing in but I had to sign in just to gloat: I WAS RIGHT!! LMFAOOOOOOOOO I KNEW I WAS RIGHT LMAOOOOO THE BLACK SUPERMAN DUDE TRIED TO TELL ME I WAS WRONG LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO BRO I'M DONE.

LOL, I'm just now seeing the promo spot that aired after the mid-season/winter finale:

EDIT:

I just watched this week's mid-season premiere. Long-term triangle confirmed

I binge watched Evil this weekend. Solid show, very entertaining. It’s like a supernatural X-files with more personality and less emo. I can tell that the writing for the show and sexual chemistry is not being written by a certain group of women, because it is done so well. I look forward to future episodes.

I will attempt to finish the first episode of Emergence this week. Hopefully it gets better.

Did you stick out with "Emergence"? I'm considering getting into it.

Writers do it based on the fantasies of female viewers. They enjoy love triangles because it makes them feel more desirable (multiple men wanting their affection). It is slightly similar to movies like the James Bond franchise, where it appears that all women want his affection.

The difference being that it’s always some racist thing where the white guy wins out and the black man is some psuedo cuckold that gets stuck hanging around or ends up getting paired with a black woman (always brown skin, never dark nor light).

I like the show. The only thing that will make me dump it is if they use those same racial tropes in these love triangles like cuck the black guy and make him weak. Miles remains to be a strong character especially with the female fanbase. The female fanbase loving the black male characters always matters because they flood those hashtags online because they always tag the show's twitter handle and the cast's twitter handles to show their pleasure with the black male characters and when these shows fuck up like legacies they show their displeasure. lol.

We're not the only ones that are sick of the love triangles especially when they make the black guy look bad and that's a good thing.
