BM/WW IR sightings on TV

"Rings of Power" second season premieres on August 29, 2024 exclusively on Prime Video. Hope that interracial relationship is explored with plot-integrated love scenes because they barely did more than kiss in season one.

Can someone accumulate all the films/TV shows from this thread with WW/BM leads in the last 10 years?
Do both of them have to be co-leads OR are you also fine with shows where 1 of is them at least a co-lead & the other is part of the supporting regular cast?

There is a show with Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo called Unprisoned. Delroy's character is with a White woman played by Brenda Strong.

I watched the trailer for Hulu's "Unprisoned" last week. I didn't realize that Brenda Strong was playing the woman that seems to be Delroy Lindo's character's love interest. I guess I'm in.

Here's the trailer:

Here's the "What's to come this season" trailer that aired after the premiere:

Here's the "Inside the Series" featurette:

I hope they don't turn the IR into some kind punching bag for those that don't like bm/ww together; filling it with stereotypes and making the white woman the enemy and the black man weak. Because this looks really good. I notice that a few of these new black series that include bm/ww IR have done that.

I just found out "Unprisoned" got renewed for a 2nd season back in November"

Netflix just renewed "3 Body Problem" for a 2nd season:

Expect for the season finale episode, the entire 1st season I needed to watch youtube recaps & read the Wikipedia extended plot summaries after watching each episode to keep up what was going on with the show. This isn't a show you can be distracted on you phone while watching.

The liberal bend of the show gets painfully obvious as the show progresses. The CW complexity destroys any real political intrigue. I’m not conservative but GOTB would be a perfect example of a liberal program masquerading as a balanced program about journalism.

A great counterpoint to GOTB would be VEEP. Clearly, a liberal show but it mercilessly skewers Democrats as political hacks pretending to care about their constituents. That’s appointment TV!

I labor through GOTB because Melissa B is so beautiful and if she’s gonna have a BM love interest, I’ll slog through it.

I am just now watching the last two episodes of "Girls on the Bus" and it definitely ends on a high note with a furious finish. I am really looking forward to the second season now ;)

Well at least they ended up together.

True and that's what made me so captivated by the promise of the sophomore season. The plot with the Democratic nominee was just manifesting too.

Furthermore I just started watching "The White Lotus" this holiday weekend and I looked it up on wikipedia to learn it was originally intended as an HBO limited series of six episodes. The people embraced it so much that a second season was ordered and now a third season is set to air next year. I really REALLY would appreciate another season of GOTB now that it's just finally hitting its stride!!

Paramount+ just dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming 4th & final season of "Evil":

I hope David and Kristen finally knock boots for real.

This was at least deserving of 6 seasons

Full trailer that dropped last month & new featurette clip:

The end is coming. The final season of Evil returns May 23, exclusively on Paramount+. Stream new episodes every Thursday through August 22.

Evil's cast and creators share an inside look at what's to come in Season 4, including Kristen (Katja Herbers) and Leland's (Michael Emerson) parenthood journey and even more demon encounters for Sister Andrea (Andrea Martin).

I don’t understand the metrics of why streaming-exclusive shows get cancelled, but this program was, as television goes, very good. And even when it gets redundant, it finds an interesting way to reposition a well-worn trope. The main three have great chemistry and this show will be missed

Well said.
