Hey Scylla. Are you coming over to study? I had a friend fom sweden who was an international student for a year. Do you know where you're going yet - which city, or university. If you end up in my home town, Brisbane, I'll be sure to say G'day and lend a hand if you need it (am I allowed to say that on here?)...I don't believe we have many interests in common, but it's never bad to know a few names! And we have other members in other cities around the country. Hope you don't get stuck in Canberra! haha. Australia is awesome. Hopefully you'll enjoy your time here.
I have been working nights at a major hospital in my city, and I will find out when I can join the beginning semester of classes to be an EMS. Sonnyshao will soon be driving ambulances. Other than that I'm just working like a rented mule....
I was suppose to go in february, but just found out I'm not going until july, but yeah it's brissy i'm going to. Im gonna study at griffith university, the south bank parklands campus so I'll be right in the middle. I really miss brissy, was there last year for half a year, studying at QUT. It's gonna be good to get back to a country filled with people who aren't ashamed to talk so much slang that they are totally incomprehensible And yeah, it's always good to have some contacts and people who can point you in the right direction, so I'm grateful for that!
Oh, ok.. I must have mis-read your post. I got the impression that you weren't happy about coming to Australia. Well, if you've already been here, then you've probably got plenty of contacts. I studied at QUT - gardens point. Just across the river! and I live near Griffith - Nathan/Mt Gravatt campus. haha. what a small world, huh? You're studying art? are you going to the college of art or the conservatorium? You and I probably crossed paths on the bus, if you were there last year!
Sonny do you have to train as an EMT also to be a driver? My son was talking about being interested in driving while finishing out school.
Noo, I loved Oz! I had the best time there! I studied at the Kelvin Grove campus, and lived just by it, up by normanby, the place of horror every sunday night, lol. Im gonna get a master in design futures, so I'll be at the college of art. It seems like a perfect subject for me, since I'd like to work with branding or graphic design. I'm already an interaction designer, so I figured it would complement it good. We probably did cross paths. Very small world indeed.
I wish he'd write down his thoughts, send them to Larry the Cable Guy (I'm sure he could make them out), and shut the hell up.
Yep DH is right every time you reply it just encourages them to post more and makes it harder for the webmaster to remove all the crap later, try your best to carry on with the current thread conversations and just report the posts

I just got the final verdict: I am definitely going home for Christmas. This is so awesome, like my own little Christmas miracle. Haven't seen my mom since July, and before that it had been August '07. Mom expects another Christmas with me stuck in Houston...and she's not going to think anything different until Christmas Eve when I show up and scare the crap outta her!!!! This is amazingly awesome!!!! Now if I can get through finals without croaking I'll get to have Christmas in the mountains, just the way it should be!
