Where do you go to dance or just hang out. Apparently I'm not having much luck with guys older than me, early 40's. Maybe I should try meeting someone a little younger that actually likes to go out. The guy I've been talking to & went out with once hasn't had time to go out again. I get tired of sitting at home. It's really disappointing to get ready to go out & happy about it only to get a call saying we'll have to make it another day. I would like to find a fun place to go, I love music & like to dance. I girl I worked with used to go out dancing with her friends but she moved to Texas. She was surprised that I liked the same music as her & invited me to go with them. Didn't get a chance to go. Any suggestions, where it's not uncommon for a girl to go by herself.

Also he was a big mistake I wished I'd never met & wished I'd never told anyone about. Now everyone thinks I'm weird, really I'm not. If you knew me personally you would see that I'm quite normal & really nice. I don't do anything to scare them away. It's not my looks that keep them away either. I haven't posted a pic but I get compliments on my looks especially my eyes. I have the kind of figure that most guys here say they like, why the fascination with thighs & butts I don't understand. I'm average weight but do have bigger thighs & butt & wear a DD. Before anyone says anything no I'm not conceited & don't think I beautiful.

I never said any of that. Nor did I think it. I have known some very beautiful women who sought out men that treated them badly. Had nothing to do with their looks.

I'm sorry, I wasn't talking about what you said. When I originally posted the need opinions I got mainly negative things said to me or about me. Except for SweetAngel29 she was really nice. I guess I was expecting 30 or so more negative responses. But you didn't offend me at all, I was just preparing I guess. With so many different people I guess you get lots of different opinions. I was just trying to avoid some that I thought I would get, if that makes sense. I'm also trying to attach a pic.
I knew I was walking a thin line when I said it. You were asking for places to go out. I understood that. I just got concerned for you when you said the guy hasnt had time to go out again. So many of my beautiful sister do not know their worth. Some seek out unavailable men. But it sounds like you have a healthy grip on your worth, my concern is abated.
I'm probably a little cranky too, I worked all last night & have been up since. I work in a hospital NICU & new baby got really sick. It just breaks my heart seeing parents crying when they are told their newborn may not make it. Plus I was supposed to see the nicer guy this morning, well it is almost 3:00 in the afternoon & I haven't heard anything from him. So I'm frustrated too, I guess that's why I really wanted to go out tonite & forget about how upset that I have been the last week. I know I'm going on & on. Still haven't figured out how to attach a photo.

I hope you find something fun to do tonight. I understand the slight resistance to going out alone. I prefer to go with my girls too. Although, I bet if you went out alone you'd have men swarming on you like bees to honey!
PS. Please don't put yourself down in your own mind nor in these threads. Be your own best cheerleader, 'cause no one else will do it. I used to think rather negative thoughts about myself (didn't help that I had surrounded myself with negative people) but then I realized a long time ago that if I had a friend that talked to me the way I talk to myself, I'd punt her to the curb in no time! Now I am my own #1 fan as cheezy as that may sound, lol.

blue if you have your photo up on a photo site (like photo bucket) you can add it to the picture thread in the lovers area.
As far as finding people to do things with ....I know what you mean, it can be a tough thing. I'm not one to go to a club/dancing alone. You might want to try dating sites...especially if you are ok with casual stuff. As long as you don't take it too seriously - you may find some fun people to do things with.

Well I guess I'll be staying home with my 4 doggies tonite. Haven't heard any suggestions on places to go. I've been up for about 28 hrs. straight so I guess it's just as well. I can watch a movie while covered in dogs, what could be better. At least that's what my girls say.

Yeah thats the thing that sucks about going downtown, the parking. If you ever want to meet up and go to one of the clubs, let me know.
