I remember sitting at Nairobi airport, waiting for a connecting flight, and watching the other white tourists coming and going. You have no idea how many white tourists go to Kenya and get their hair braided. I laughed out loud a few times at how silly they looked. :smt081 I know I'm not a guy and you only wanted guys opinions, but I think cornrows/braids on white people look embarassingly stupid. Harsh, yes...but hey...just calling it like I see it.
Not really. Half white makes her mixed race/biracial and not white. Cornrows look beautiful on a lot of mixed race women (because 90% of the time they're stunning anyway) whereas on 90% of white women, cornrows look pretty stupid.
Big No for Cornrows on whitewomen, i saw the saddest sight last Friday night, a woman of about 50 in the club with cornrow braids, silent thought to myself when i looked at her was ( If that was my Mother I'd lock her up for her own good ) Braids on men are not a favourite with me either, i like shaved heads or a little bit of hair.
hahaha... sounds pretty awful, what was she wearing? You always get those older women who think they're 19 again, dressing in mini skirts and the like, pretty tragic/funny.
It was jeans and a Halter neck top with no bra, her tits had seen better days, she reeked of desperation, she was stood beside me flicking her braids (nearly had my eye out lol) and pawing what looked like a resonably fit 20 something black guy, he did look pretty uncomfortable though. :smt103
I see this so often in some of the clubs I go to in Sheffield (when it's local nights) and it just upsets me, haha. We went out before the Easter holidays and there were two white broads older than my ma sandwiching an early twentysomething black guy between them. He got away thankfully, but they found another one. These women don't give up
Lol this reminded me of a woman i saw last year in the same club (last year! she has stuck in my mind that long, it was so horrific) she was a BBW but i mean big! big! at least cracking on for 30 stone, wearing a red satin basque that had tie up laces at the front, which looked like they could give out any second. She pinned this quite slight looking black man up against the the DJ box and was grinding him into the wall, i was mesmerised watching, her tits were waving all over the place, i thought he was gonna be injured, this was all taking place to the track (This is why I'm hot) thankfully he was slight and slipped out from a crevice that appeared while she was moving. :smt009
Like others have said, braids can look good depending on how your face is structured. I personally look better with free hanging braids, so I don't put cornrows in often. My friend Ty, however, looks fantastic with cornrows so I do his hair sometimes. Same thing with a couple of my other friends. Braids can be cute, or ugly,on anyone. It all comes down to the style you choose, your hair's ability to hold the style, and how good you are with upkeep. If you don't know how to take care of your style then your braids will look hideous in no time. If you can't stand sleeping with a do rag or scarf on your head, for example, then leave braids alone. But as for whether black men like braids on white girls...I really don't like these types of questions. It's like we're seeking an answer for all black men. It all comes down to the guy. You seem to worry far too much about what everyone else thinks of how you look. you ask what kind of clothes and hair black men like...How about you concentrate on what YOU like, instead? I don't give a fuck who thinks I look good or bad...as long as I like what I'm wearing, or how I did my hair, that's all that matters. What men like more is CONFIDENCE. If you can be confident, you'd probably be well received in a goddamn potato sack...but if you're dressed to the nines and shrinking away from everyone else, then you won't exactly be thought of as desirable usually.
Afro > "Booty Cut" > Braids/Cornrows Rows and Braids are cool but it really isn't for everyone. I think it helps if your hairline hasn't receded and your forehead isn't oversized. Personally it seems to look better on people with more rounded faces as opposed to longer and more angular faces. Living in the south, it's too doggone hot for all that hair...I'll take a "college cut" with the 360 waves and a taper fade!
People look weird doing all sorts of things. But, it’s their hair, so they can do as they please. I’m not a fan of cornrows regardless of race.
I’ve never been hung up on hairstyles as long as you don’t look like a homeless person on a regular basis. Cornrows on white women have never bothered me. Mostly cuz you just don’t see that like you did back in the 2000’s.
