I live in Newark NJ, here is a few shots I pulled off Google, because I'm too lazy to take actual pics of the city....
Newark used to be pretty big. I think it had almost 500k people in 1930. It kinda sucks that the population declined so much since then
[/IMG] [/IMG] Couple of shots of the Rapeseed fileds we seem to have a ton of round here. [/IMG] A shot of the Beach which is about 10 mins away. Go with the kids quite often. [/IMG] If you look very closely at this pic, you can just about make out the offshore windfarm we have just of the coast of the Beach above, there is another one planned a little further up the coastline soon.
Very cool pics, francie!! Thanks for sharing. :smt023 Looking at those pics just renews my desire to visit the British Isles.
Uh.... No, LA is second followed by Chi and the comes Houston. Philly has been passed by Phoenix. However, the population density is higher in Chi than LA, which tells you something about spread. LA comes in 12th in area covered. Houston 9th. NY 21st. Chicago 30th and Phoenix 10th. and yes, Im bored
Being from LA, I'm sure he knows all of this. I think he was just commenting on how that particular picture makes Chicago look really spread out. Chicago can't beat LA, ever, in terms of area. I'm sure everyone knows that! :smt023
Playa Del Rey - Los Angeles - This area is called "the Jungle" I lived here until January this year: View from the beach up on the million dollar homes there (not the Jungle I really really miss it!!!
Uhmm don't know really, there is no sewerage works near by if that's what you mean. Actually i'm right by the mouth of the Thames Estuary, so if you had a clear day and was a bit further up inland you could probably see Southend in Essex lol those beach/sea pics were taken on the Island just over the Bridge from me. There is also a Nudist beach on the Island, which nobody uses cus it's so damn cold even in the height of summer, lots of pebbles to get into every orifice too. ha ha
My neck of the woods ain't all that, but it's aight... Got a few presidential memorials here and there... A monument... A spot for big wigs to bond and bicker... And the president's pad...
