I fly a lot these days and I always get my book and my crossword puzzle out before I board because that is what I like to do to pass time. That or sleep or chat up an interesting fellow passenger. What do you like to do when in flight?
i usually have at least one good book and a couple of fashion magazines with me...listening to music or watching the inflight program if something good is on or if i haven't already seen it twice...sometimes i will bring some paperwork with me or review numbers for the territory i am visiting...i don't sleep well on a plane...if i find a seat companion interesting i may chat with them for a short time...
when i travel its music on and out comes the book i dont really like to chat cos im scared of flying but it doesnt stop people trying to chat to me
You would have hated my flight today. We were wobbling side-to-side during the landing approach at Frankfurt Airport. I never saw so many relieved people once we were stopped.
i had to fly a little prop jet over to the western slope of the state last month...i was just about sitting in the lap of my seat companion i was so scared...the plane was just 4 seats across with 2 on each side...i almost think i would have rather driven over two mountain passes than take that flight into grand junction
Watching the in-flight movie Doodling in the sketch book Flirting with the flight attendants Sleeping
I love the window seats on airplanes so I have a link to the outside world. First choice would be reading....go figure. :smt102 Then I would say a crossword puzzle. I listen to music whilst I'm doing those things. If it's a long flight, I'll watch the in-flight movie.
Half the time I start convo, The other half is split between the rest of the options -laptop. You never know who your sitting next to sometimes you get a good exchange!
Don't flirt with the attendants, since 99% of the male ones are gay If I can sleep on a flight, then I'll sleep, but otherwise I'll listen to my MP3 player and read.
isn't that the truth...i once sat next to a set of parents that had two ALD boys which is the same disease depicted in the movie lorenzo's oil...they were involved in the myelin project and knew the family...lorenzo died last year at the age of 30
We call those ballbearing stewardesses. I dont have one thing. Mostly I sleep, then I chat with the crew, or maybe passengers. I flew from LHR to JFK beside Steven King and he was very chatty.
Watch a television series. I buy those dvd's that has an entire season of a television program. That way you can see how all the characters developed over the years. Thats how I got started with Criminal Minds and CSI:NY.
I too travel frequently and I always have my laptop out either working or occasionally watching a movie/tv show, if not that I'm reading the latest edition of Conde Nast Portfolio, great mag.
Cd player. Sleep, while cd player is on. Look at the gps thing if I'm in first class to see where the plane is on the map(that shit is captivating when you're bored off your ass on a 4 hour flight).
