It's kind of like that move "Snatch" that came out several years ago and there were these characters in the movie called "pikeys". Those that are familiar with this particular film know exactly what I'm talkin' about.:smt045
Haha. I work with a Glaswegian. He's been here going on 4 years now. People who aren't familiar with him still have no idea what he's talking about. I work with people from every continent on earth, except Africa: it's like the United Nations in there - have to retune your ears everytime you speak with someone.
Yah - subtitles comes to mind.... gack.. I just thought of the dog with that squeaky toy stuck in his throat!!!!
As I come from a northern state of usa ( New york state), I'm going to say that I prefer northern accent; on both men and women. But the southern one is great too, and I also love british accent .
I've heard people from the West, and to me they have a standard American accent. That's my observation anyways
I LOVE the chicago accent. and no, not the white midwestern LOL. There is a difference. Black men from Chicago just drive me wild. Same with the south. I love the Southern accent. My first bf's family is from Virginia. I loved his and his grandmother's. She was always asking me 'How y'all doing, how's y'all family?" and so on. and I LOVE the trini accent. Love love love love. Not so much the Jamaican, or any of the other islands. St Lucian is pretty hot but Trinidad is where it's at for me. I could listen to that sing song beautiful like accent ALL day. *dreamy*
