V- Hope you had a good time in Toronto and you didn't get arrested for indecent exposure and malbehaviors.
*sigh* You know, DH? Talented as you are and wonderful as he is, you could absolutely write a novel about this. I am so happy for you and look forward to hearing more! And remember, you deserve this treatment.
I did something really bad last night. Several weeks ago, my daughter lost a tooth when she was at her dad's for the weekend. She proceeded to forget her tooth over there, and well, this weekend, she finally remembered to bring it home with her. She put it under her pillow last night. And I proceeded to completely forget about it. D'oh. This morning, she got up before me and was laying in my bed with me and as I was waking up she said, "oh, I forgot to check under my pillow!" And it hit me. I had to make up something quickly. We just moved into our new place, so I told her that I forgot to tell the tooth fairy that we moved and she didn't know where to find us. She asked me how I could talk to the tooth fairy, I told her that I email her. LOL. Anyhow, I guess I owe her more money tonight. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I can't believe I completely forgot about it!! I feel so badly about forgetting. Less time in chat, more time remembering real world things from now on. :smt045
LOL! Thanks! :smt023 I got laughed at by coworkers for that. My boss said, your daughter is going to be reminding you a couple of weeks before Christmas to make sure you change your address with Santa. LOL. Yeah, yeah. It's funny, but I still feel awful about it.
You shouldn't feel bad. You did what you had to do to spare your little girl's feelings. You should put a little note with the money tonight from the tooth fairy telling her that she was sorry for missing her last night because she was at the wrong house but how thankful she is that she found her tonight. You could also throw in that the tooth fairy passed the new address along to the Easter Bunny and to Santa. That would help with future questions. LOL It was very quick thinking on your part, Bookie. Good job!!! :smt023
Good thinking! I'll include a note. She'll love it. :smt023 Thanks!! I'm laughing about it more as the day progresses....thinking about what she's going to say in a few years when she finds out the tooth fairy isn't real. LOL.
No! Oh no! They are all real. Every last one of them. I mistyped. I misremembered. Don't mind me. Everything you believed as a child is all true!
I thought it was appropriate for the occasion. LOL I apologize for the small attachment. I have no idea what I'm doing. LOL
Well my Toronto weekend is over and I am at home with family. I had one of the best weekends of my life. My friend and I have been close since grade three. We have been through every major life event together. If it was not in person it was through lots of expensive phone calls. I love her like my family and would do anything she needed. I am worn out from all this partying so I am going to relax and unwind for a few days and decide what to do next. I am sick from lack of sleep and just all over excess. I saw a doctor today and got some meds so I should be fixed up in a heartbeat.
Going to see the new HP movie tonight! I am so excited! I think there may be costumes involved :smt055
