thanks for the well wishes, ya'll. I have good news, and bad news. The bad news is that the position I wanted is not available. The good news is that he still needs people as servers, and he said he sees no problem with me coming back. I just have to wait until after the meeting with all the managers tomorrow to find out for sure, because he wants to make sure no one else has a problem with it. Usually people go with what he wants, though, since he is the GM, so I'd say it's about 75 percent chance I got my old job back. I reeeeally didn't want to be a waiter though. lol But I can't afford to be picky, so, as I told him, I'll take whatever he's got. Besides, I am off class on the two biggest shifts of the week (friday and saturday night) so I can easily make some good money then. If it's anything like last time I'll make a minimum 60 bucks for a friday or saturday night shift, plus two dinner shifts during the week which will put me up to easily clearing 200+ bucks a week with only an average of 16 hours (hopefully). If I'm really lucky, I can make 200 bucks in a weekend alone, plus whatever I pick up during the week, but I think business is slow around those parts lately so I'm not going to be too optimistic. Regardless, as long as I can make 180 bucks a month I will be fine, because that's all I need for rent. So as long as this works out I don't have to worry about being homeless when I have to move out of housing in about a month. I'm so relieved, but I'm still going to be a little nervous until I hear the final word tomorrow. I have to call him at 6:30pm to get the verdict.
Also, Nate is the most awesomest boyfriend in the whole wide world. I've been extremely ill lately, to the point where I've been stuck in bed quite often. He's been taking such good care of me. I've barely been able to walk from the pain this weekend (had to take way too much medicine to get to my job interview this morning) and he hasn't even hesitated in helping me. Love is when a man doesn't shy away from carrying you to the bathroom so you can pee, in my opinion. Especially when you tell him that thanks to illness he'll be dealing with that sort of thing regularly and his reaction is to give you a big hug and tell you he doesn't mind in the slightest. Still a keeper. :smt049:smt049:smt049:smt049:smt049:smt049
hah, I'm divorced, I'm not really looking to get married any time soon. But he's a good boy. After college, if he wants to make an honest woman of me, and we're still doing well together, I might let him! I'll have to see when the time comes, cause my ex-husband was certainly in the category you just mentioned, so it's made me wary. But Nate is special *nodnodnodnodnodnod* He's the sweetest, most loving boyfriend I've ever had. I told him I'll stalk him if he leaves me. >.>
how bout you change that pic from a baby to a cute guy, TS? No babies. My original due date was today.
Got rear ended on the highway at 70mph this morning.. Hit and run.. A witness took the plate and description when it happend as they said it looked deliberate. The hit and run guy drove just past me after the he hit me and drove over to the shoulder... so did I of course... the witness drove in and parked between us and that is when the guy took off.. It was really weird... Im ok, car needs some fixing, but Im irritated by the extra work that dude caused me
That's soooo scary FG, and i'm so glad you're okay...thank god for that witness is all i can say...!!!
Co-sign! It's a scary world out there right now. Glad it was only your car. That can be fixed. Even though it's a major hassle. I'm currently trying to figure out a health insurance issue I'm about to have. Thanks to the wonderful economy, my company's insurance benefits are going from great to sucky. We had to change insurance carriers this month, and as a result, all of our copays have gone up, drastically. :smt086 I'm happy that they're doing what they can to not lay off more people, but fuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkkkk......this blows. Take away some of our pay, lower our monthly insurance premiums by a little bit, but jack us through the ass when we actually need to use our insurance. Ugh. It almost makes it worth it to find a man that has excellent health insurance and marry him for it. :smt102 JK!!
FG: glad you're ok, mon chere. Bookwormlove - Go for the man with insurance. With all the cries of "Nazi!" and "Socialist!" we'll never get reasonable health care prices in this country. Me - thinking my debt's about to go up a whole lot more. I feel like I'm dying. Like..serious. I can barely move. augh. worst fucking timing ever omg.
LOL. Yes, good health insurance has gone up on my list of "must-haves" when looking for a guy. Girl, I hope you feel better soon. *hugs*
I do, too, cause seriously...this shit hurts. And it's been three days of straight up excruciating pain ...this is getting old. Nothing otc is taking even a tinge of pain away.
Sounds like a doctor's visit is in order. I hope they can give you something to alleviate the pain you're in.
