sure for many years i didnt have a televison and then about 3 years ago i got one and with cable. not much on, i do watch Public Broadcasting, Fox News, Soccer and Hockey and baseball games, hunting, fishing and cooking shows, christian television and documentaries on PBS
I'm finding that I spend much more time at my computer on the internet than I do watching TV nowadays.
I've started listening to the Radio alot more recently, I bought myself a bigger car about a month ago and it needs a new Cd/Bootchanger so I haven't been able to listen to my CDs just cassette or radio, I spend about 2 and a half hours in the car every day, due to driving to college and making round trips for childcare and school runs, lol i've been laughing outloud whilst driving these days, Gotta love Chris Moyles on Radio1 in the morning. Flip over to Radio 3 or 4 to hear something more serious in the afternoon trips. I could give up TV programs as I tend to watch Dvds anyway, even shows i love, I tend to buy on Dvd as I'm a terrible time keeper, never remember to switch channel, even with the sky reminder.
Well... I scoff at "The Liberal Media" it doesn't exist, its a joke. I watch TV but I don't watch most of the network nonsense. Democracy Now, Russia Today, Countdown, The Ed Show, DW Journal, Maddow - Monday-Friday Add Jim Zogby's Viewpoint on Saturday SoCal Connected (SoCal Connect!), Bill Moyers and PBS Now on Friday Frontline twice a month, Nova every so often Then my entertainment - Top Gear! Code Gess on Satuday, Ghost In a Shell 2nd Gig (Woot) NASCAR Chase For The Cup of the Thing - Juan Pablo Montoya! F1 - Lewis Hamilton ALMS And BS I find on Discovery Science, Green and History Channel(s)
same.. all of the shows that I would be watching in front of a TV, are available in HD online. So, I can watch a show, then flip back to the internet, then flip back to watching the show or movie. Back in the old days, the cool thing was internet TV. You were able to surf the internet, and watch TV shows on your tele. Someone took that idea and now it's coming to fruition with the PC. Who needs a television?
Ain't no way I'm giving up my Shemar Moore.... yummmm. TV wise I watch Criminal Minds, CSI: NY, the whole Law & Order franchise, The Simpsons, Hollyoaks (sometimes), the news (Channel 4 or BBC), Family Guy, whatever stand up is on, crime shows (documentary ones - I like the one on channel 4 called The Force right now), Panorama, those weird Channel 4 documentaries... yeah, I like TV. I could give it up but I wouldn't want to.
I don't watch tv. If I'm eating breakfast I might watch the Dr. Oz show, the View or Married With Children reruns but there's nothing I go out of my way to watch. Dollhouse is the only show I would go out of my way to watch and it won't come back until December.
Generation Kill has just started here in Australia & I'm completely hooked...!!! Oh & I'm still waiting to see if Bret Michaels finds love on that bus
if you can get past the stereotypical 'bungling officers' theme in the show, you may find something entertaining. Although Band of Brothers, a HBO miniseries, did some justice to the Army, by introducing a stellar battlefield leader, to offset the incompetent captain...
