Black Men

I have always wanted to marry a black man and did. I have 3 children by one and love them very much. But now that I have mixed children I do not want to date any other race because I fear that another race might not except them as his own child and treat them badly. So yes I like black men I think they are hot but I do not think I act or sound like a black women.

Funny how you quoted me and brought up Ebonics, yet you didn't say anything to the thread-starter. I was speaking more so about tone. Black folks tend to have, I can't think of the right word, but I'll say "soul" in their tone. You can't always tell someones race by the way someone speaks, but a lot of times you can.

I don't equate sounding "White" as someone trying to disown their Blackness, like some Black folks say to other Black folks who speak articulately. I think that's ignorant. I have a friend who won't use "big words" around some Ghetto folk and yes I said Ghetto folks, cause his childrens' mother lives in the projects. He thinks he sounds "White" doing that. I said you shouldn't dumb down yourself to anyone. Mrs. Obama is an educated woman and speaks just that way. She doesn't sound "White, she sounds educated and articulate. She does have that tone I was speaking about and doesn't sound "White".

 

Morgan Freeman sounds black, and I think I'd fall over laughing if I heard him speaking Ebonics.

Possibly because they are just have been raised on the stereotypes like most of the world runs on. People dont get to know others as humans and we are afraid of individualism, so we lead with group think aobut the OTHER.

It is funny that when whites want to emulate blacks they dont look at our heros, our sheroes, as people to behave like--they always seem to gravitate toward the worst part of our community behavior(though not all people in the ghetto are bad, most are good decent people), but the media tells them what to think black people look and act like.
