most women i see want models or men who look flashy trendy and look like a tv star. Is there any hope for ugly brothas like me?
Some people care more about who you are, than what you look like. But I thought I read somewhere in one of your posts that you're married?
Just work out and dress nice. Like my uncle said as long as your clean and you smell good someone will want you.
Do you honestly think that the TV stars and models look in reality as you see them in the movies or magazines? I was working some time in that model scene and can assure you, when they come in the morning and when they are prepared for the photographer- that are two different people, plus the photoshop, which eliminates the last "mistakes".. And what is ugly.. look for example at Seal and Heidi..Heidi, the power woman, classical beautiful, Seal is not, at least for me , a handsome man. But I guess every woman feels that he has something "special" and that makes him much more attractive than other so called handsome guys.
Agree!! You dont have to have the lates and greatest, just not threadbare old clothes. Clean and ironed and up to date is all that is needed. If you work out, you get automatic confidence and goood posture. Bad posture is really a turnoff, it somehow sends signals to the oposite sex we dont want to send. Besides, maybe you are the only one that thinks your ugly.
There's someone for everyone. However, if you don't have the confidence to feel good about your self (ie: not call yourself 'ugly') that makes things a little harder. Women love confidence. Gotta love yourself before anyone else can.
lol That reminds me, when I was around 20 and my boy-friend told me the advantages I have.. one of them was that I am clean, in the sense that I take a shower every day.. I looked at him and asked him.."With what kind of people are you surrounded, normally?" :smt043:smt043
I agree. Like FG said, if you look presentable someone will want you. Also like Andrae said, if you work out, I think that's an added bonus.
Ugly is such a relative term anyway. Growing up I didn't think I was that great looking because I have dark skin but boy was I told different when I got to college. I use to think all girls wanted light skinned or spanish guys (living la vida loca was big then) but I had to find out its not up to me to dictate what others find attractive just let them come to me. You'll be fine kid.
Maybe I'm talking for me then because I'm an absolute sucker for a pretty face. Even chunky girls I've dated were absolutely gorgeous in the face
lippy actually likes a handsome face and straight white teeth over a gym rat body...i also notice the whites of the eyes...not fond of bloodshot eyes and i can spot a drinker a mile away when the eyes turn yellow...hands are also something that catch my eye...a man doesn't need to get a manicure but i can tell from his hands that he cares for himself beauty/ugly are both subjective...i remember dating a lawyer once that i thought was quite handsome...one of my black girlfriends let me know that she didn't think he was attractive at all...my response, then i guess i don't have to worry about you trying to sleep with him...she saw every man i dated as a challenge...we are no longer friends:!:
