Color is not really an issue as far as racism goes in Scandinavia (or Europe for that matter). Its religion; Middle-easterns and Muslims get the brunt of the racism. Race issues are far less problematic in Scandinavia vs most of Europe but there are some issues. In the big cities, its pretty diverse (I had 48 countries represented in my college class in Stcokholm). In Soccer, its ugly and aimed at anyone wo is not white or christian - outside that, its pretty safe- especially in comparison. If you are American, your just the cats meow.
That is what I was saying. It doenst matter if you are white or black - you are American there.. and thus, they like you.
Really? I find it really interesting how in Eastern Europe, if you are American, everyone fawns over you, but in Western, there's a strong dislike of Americans. (and the British too, so don't feel bad my over the pond friends!)
Que?????? Im not following at all... Are you saying Sweden is in Eastern Europe???? Sweden is not Eastern Europe - have never been, not even close. Its part of Western Europe. Sweden is probably one of the most Americanized countries in Europe

I was thinking so.. LOL.. I just came back from the gym so I blame that for my slowness... HAHA.. Swedes have as far as I remember always looked up to America and wanted to emulate everything US.. but they still complain about loud American thourists but that is usually the veritable blue haired lady that wants everything to be like in the US. But young Americans women and men should find it very easy
