well lets ask this why BM love WW

I agree completely Jordan. I'm competitive but not within a relationship. I have no issue with a man being successful and in no way see that as any type of threat or undesirable trait. I would support him in anything he chose to undertake, as my primary goal would always be to see him happy.

:smt023:smt023 That´s my lady!!!

I will, its just a matter of time. I built it once so I know I can do it again. Didn't expect to have to start from scratch again but whatever.

You know- that happens, that´s life! One experience more- just never stop to manage your life. It won´t take long, there will be some problems the next time, but it will be better than before in a few months...:smt045

Christine offers wisdom that some people never learn Kimbo. You've already got the right attitude babe, just keep your focus on the future and you'll do fine. One thing I noticed looking back on the less enjoyable parts of my life, is that those were the times where something drastic was necessary to get me to change course. I'm very dedicated, stubborn, and loyal, sometimes not in a good way, so I will often stick with something long past when it would have been in my best interest to make a change. It is at those times that it takes a major event to make me realize it's time to move on. I think those are the times when God has to thump me on the head to get my attention, and I'm thankful for that. I would have never started my own business had it not been for one of those uncomfortable experiences, but I see now that the way it played out was the only way it could have, and it absolutely was for the best. You're a builder, you'll find your way Kimbo, I have complete faith in your ability to do just that.

what if you made more than he ? how would you feel about him ?

Been there, done that. I never made less than my Ex in the entire 19 years we were together, and disparity between our incomes was pretty vast. That in no way changed my view of him. I was always thankful that one of us had that earning capability. I still viewed everything financial as a joint effort, we both had equal input on how the money was spent, etc. Honestly I couldn't care less what a man brings in money wise. Though there were times it irritated him for people to know how much I out earned him, that was his fault for not being able to keep it to himself, I would never discuss personal finances with anyone outside of family.

I saw a report where a BW destroyed her whusband for losing his job due to the economy and not being able to find a job. she stated she could not look at him the same way and she did not look at him like a man anymore despite he is taking care of the home and kids and looking hard. he was only ouf a job for 4 - 5 months

That's ridiculous to me goodlove. She must have missed the 'for better or worse, for richer or poorer' parts of the vows.

If you're in a relationship and you truly love the other person, you are compelled to support them during the good and the bad. Nowhere is it written that life is going to be easy, but honestly two people supporting each other should offer more strength than one person alone. The person that doesn't support you when you're down, or worse yet belittles or abandons you, isn't someone you need to keep around. Ultimately you're better off without people like that, and maybe that's the silver lining to the ordeal you go through is that you learn that they are unworthy so you don't waste any more of your life on them.

Yes it will be.

One thing that this economy is making me realize is that I am not the only one going through this. Here in the states, I'm getting offers as low as 30 cents to the dollar to pay off certain bills like to creditors or vendors.

This means for every $1,000 that I owe, I can give them just $300 to pay it off. NEVER even heard of that. This one banker told me this. There are so many people in financial ruin not just with businesses but personal finances. People "walking away" from their homes because they can no longer pay the mortgage. So many of the banks are stuck with homes that is losing money for the banks because they are not drawing income. Plus the banks have to pay the property taxes on these homes to the local government.

I guess if there was a time for a business to go under, this is as good a time as any. But then again, if the housing crisis hadn't happened in the first place, the economy wouldn't be the way it is.

What doesn't kills you, just makes you stronger. I think a lot of people are going to come out stronger because of this.

I’m most certainly human Andrae, and in contrast to the other responses I haven’t managed to evolve past jealousy yet. Honestly I’m insanely competitive and very aggressive by nature, but I’ve learned to control both. I also don’t share well when it come to men, unless I’ve been made aware up front that the relationship is not of the exclusive type. Those traits combined I suspect fuel a certain amount of what would be regarded as jealousy, but only in specific circumstances. If, for instance, I’m in an exclusive relationship and another woman is coming on too strong, but he’s not initiating or encouraging her, then I would take exception to that and she would be dealt with appropriately. On the other hand if he is encouraging or receptive to her, then I’d cut him loose and the two of them would be welcome to do as they please, as I really am not going to waste time on a man if I can’t hold his interest. If the relationship is not exclusive then jealousy is completely inappropriate, that’s not to say I wouldn’t still feel it if I really wanted him all to myself, however I would never show it. For me, if you aren’t worthy of at least sparking a bit of possessiveness and jealousy, I’m not wasting time on you because that just means I’m not really that interested.
Do you get jealous of your man???

That's what I was talking about.

ESPY, I could have written this entire post almost word for word. I experience almost the exact same thing. Are you SURE you're not a mind reader??? You are starting to get like Christine. That woman can be on point with me sometimes its scary. Hit the nail on the head better than some of my own family members who knows me.

P.S. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm actually looking forward to see what life has instore for me next. Its like you stated, those uncomfortable experiences just opens up the door for a better experience down the road.

LOL! I can neither confirm, nor deny the possibility of mind reading. ;)

Anytime Kimbo. Looking forward to change, instead of dreading it, is the best approach IMO. You're clearly on the right track already, and you've obviously got a lot of support here if you need it.

Of his accomplishments? No. I've always been supportive of anything attempted, and pleased with whatever was accomplished.

That's all I was saying....WW don't compete against a mofo they claim to love.

I had a sister get mad at me because I had nerve to know the final Jeopardy answer..!!!

She actually jumped-off the couch and called the station to see if the show was a repeat...lol

She was so INSULTED that a BM could know something she didn't.

I know for sure if a was anything but Black man she would have been more impressed than angry.

Needless to say..I dumped her ass not long afterwards.

Since I've never dated a BW, I'm not an expert on the subject. LOL I was just trying to clarify what I thought FH was saying. I understand what you are saying about gold diggers and that success would bring more money in the home, but I don't think that all women are about money. Some are more interested in power and control than money. They don't want to see their man do well because they might leave them or they wouldn't be able to boss them around and put them down. It has to do with their own insecurities as to why they wouldn't want to see their partner succeed. I'm exactly the opposite. There is enough room in my relationships for both of us to be successful. I want my man to succeed because I want him to be happy and not for what he is going to bring financially to the table. I want to be proud of him and to be able to point and say 'That is my man!!' ;)

That's just crazy Flaming! Seriously, I'm competitive, but damn I don't take pleasure in proving someone wrong, or offense when they're right. I think that could only be fueled by massive insecurities? Anytime someone takes pleasure in proving someone else wrong, or can't celebrate their successes without feeling that it diminishes them somehow, I think that's almost always insecurity or ego to blame. I don't do either, that's just petty, childish, and rude.

And I apologize, I looked at the other replies that took your post to mean jealousy in the romantic sense and replied in kind. I see now that wasn't the usage of the word that you intended.

It's fueled by a subconcious hatred for BM.

Ever notice BW don't give their bi-racial children fucked-up names?????????

I notice shit like that.
