For some reason, I almost never open this thread. So I had not heard about your Mom, and now your Dad. I'm so sorry you're going through this. You're a good daughter, those two must have raised you well. Good luck, to you and your family. Hang in there.
GG- I hope your mom is doing well and the biopsy of your dad turns out to be benign. Will keep you in my prayers. Hope you get to hear good news.
GG74 thank you for taking care of your parents and I hope they recover fully and that your life returns to normal soon. As for me, my leave is over and I am headed back to Iraq tomorrow. We have access to the internet so I still expect be able to check in on my WWBM brothers and sisters.
Thank you for the well wishes and the compliment. There's nothing that I wouldn't do for my parents. They sacrificed a lot for me, and this is the least that I can do for them. Thank you, GZ. I just saw your post, and I hope that you are doing better. You seem like a wonderful guy, and I wish you all the best. You are in my prayers as well. Thank you, Sir Nose. I'm glad to hear that you will be able to still check in with us. Thank you for all you do. You and your family are in my prayers as well. Here is what I posted in another thread about my parents. I thought that I would just quote it here to update this thread as well.
Speaking of my Irish skin complexion, I developed rosacea several years ago and have to put Metro-gel on my nose every day to keep it away. I was finally running out of it (after 1.5 years), so I got a refill from the dermatologist when I was there. I got the prescription filled tonight. The last time I got it, it cost me $40. Today it cost me $80. OUCH!! At least it lasts a long time. Whew! Other than that, I got news from my parents that my brother will definitely be back by this weekend. :smt093 He'll have to stay at my parents house for a bit, but they have a couple of halfway houses and other such housing for homeless people that he'll be going to (hopefully) rather quickly after he arrives.
