I was born a Catholic, raised a Catholic and remain a practicing Catholic. I may not be perfect individual, but that is the essence of my faith in God. I am a fallible human being, and seek to reach the perfection of Jesus Christ, albeit with much failure. I can definitely see the essence of a life steeped in faith.
For the soul searchers....has anyone read some of Thomas Paine's work? The Age of Reason (pt 1 & 2) in particular? http://www.thomaspaine.org/Archives/AOR1.html http://www.thomaspaine.org/Archives/AOR2.html Curious to get some thoughts on this. Cheers
I was raised Catholic, made First Communion, and then got myself promptly kicked out of Church School because I asked too many questions. Now, I'm a practicing Wiccan, and have been since I was about 10 years old. I do read a lot of religious texts, or I have, not so much now that I'm in grad school (lol).
Tinkerbell, Tuckereed, Unchosen and others living in Christ, not only should you be concerned with staying grounded, but you should find a way to further increase the foundation of what you believe and further entrench your selves in it. I say this because your faith will be radically tested by what you see and witness in 2011 and 2012…….mark my word !
