Skin bleaching is a huge industry in developing countries. This legacy of slavery or colonization, where lighter-skinned or white people were given visible privileges over hundreds of years has resulted in societies where the lighter you are, the higher your status socially and economically. In the Caribbean, light skin is also highly desired while in African countries even seemingly minor variations in skin tone can contribute to ethnic conflict.
Yeah if he worked hard. Truth is looks make life easier but people who have life easy are usually week. Id rather be strong.
I've been skin bleaching since I was 13. It has worked wonders for me over the years. I highly recommend it.
The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice Based on my "what color is your skin" thread, tthe majority of women here prefer darker skinned brothers. Maybe its because they love their juice sweeter??
Yes, but as I recall you are decidedly not in favor of 'juice drinking', so that's like false advertising or something on your part.
i must need my eyes tested again cos the guy in brittys avatar looks blue to me. so how was your role in the movie?
:toimonster: Don't we get enough of this divisive crap already in the Black community? WHY BRING THAT BULLSHIT HERE????????????????????????????
Nothing divisive about it flame. This is no more divisive than the blonde or brunette thread or the dealmakers or dealbreakers thead. I was really curious to know if ww noticed the difference in skin complexion as much as we did and I guess its really just our hang up. At least as far as the thread is concerned they don't care.
