When you are posting a thread/response/whatever, look for the "YouTube" icon/logo above where you are typing; Click that, you shall see a set of brackets that read:

and then put the YT matrix number inbetweenst the brackets...and yer In Like Flynn.

Hmm it's not "unique" for black artists to feature white women in their videos over here. Happens all the time, I don't really think it's a big deal 'cause I'm so used to it I guess.

it's a big deal over here, because you rarely (never) see a mainstream US black artist (like Usher), featuring a white piece (looking like Parker Posey) as his main joint he's singing too.

Back when Ja did his video with all them white girls in it, he caught bullshit for that.

I really do get a kick out of Britons saying it's no big deal over there...

it's as if we Americans are stuck in our own twisted history.

PettyOfficerJ is exactly right. In America, thanks to US history class in school, and all the TV and movies we are fed, we all know ALL too well the history between blacks and whites in this country. From slavery to the civil rights movement in the 1960's, blacks remember a time when whites "held us down" and treated us like animals who weren't worthy to go to the same schools, bathrooms, restaurants, or drink at the same water fountain. Those wounds still cut deep for some people, even 50 years later during a time of "equality" with a BLACK president in office.

Notice how black women dont get all upset when a black guy is romancing a hispanic girl, indian girl, asian girl, etc. Only when its a WHITE chick. Why? Because they see the "whites" as the enemy. They still have this "us against them" mentality that continues to hold down the black community and many black women in general. It's that mindset (along with other more physical atributes) that keep many black men (such as myself) far far farrrr away from black women and only with white women.
