Most of what gets written on this board seems to be pretty clear to everybody except you. If you are having so many problems misreading people on here, then maybe you should just ask them to clarify their point before insisting they, "have a problem with BW" for instance. There is a big difference to whom? If someone says "Americans are fat", do you really think they mean every single American without exception? Athletes, super models, those with anorexia?- Most people will understand that a "majority" is implied in that statement. How would they understand this? Simple- (I'll use myself as an example)- I have never, EVER met, known or heard of a person in my entire life who spoke in such absolutes during conversation. The reality is that no one, unless they are a lunatic, would say "Americans are fat" and literally mean all 300+ million Americans without exception! So which is more likely, that the person you are talking to really believes that literally EVERY single American is fat, OR - he really means most/many Americans are fat, but simply forgot to use the word "most " in his sentence. It seems the message is only "up for debate" to those with an agenda. Which leads me to believe that the lack of understanding is not genuine, but just used as a distraction. And if someone really truly can't understand the plainly clear posts left on this board, then i'm probably not really interested in a discussion with them anyway.
I'm confused. Would these puppies be considered light skinned or dark skinned? Oh, wait. Wrong thread. Carry on.
why are we still commenting on this thread. I didnot realize this stupid thing was produced 2 years ago. we know better to be on a troll thread
Before I say anything, I first would like to thank you for answering in a respectful way. Your response featured no Flaming and for that you will receive good Karma in return. I would ask somebody to maybe clarify what they said, if something was said that I wasn't sure about, but there are "certain posters" that consistently say things that most people would find to be disparaging comments toward a group of people. I may have only joined back in May of this year but has visited this site frequently dating back to summer of last year. I don't just see minor hiccups every once in awhile where a person forgets to use "most" or "some", I see it left out all the time. So that leads me to believe that some posters have somewhat of a problem with certain groups of people. What would happen if I made the statement that "Black girls have rounder butts than White girls", how do you think that would go over on here? From what you are saying it should be implied that I'm not speaking in absolutes. Most people on here would see that I mean a majority, right? After I was called a troll, BW, or spewing classic "BW talking points" from the "Sistahood Manual", people would say go look at the Booty Appreciation Thread or point out that they know WW with bigger butts than BW. Some of the posters on here wouldn't take my comment as me just simply implying a majority, they would take it that I'm saying all BW have rounder butts and/or all WW have flat butts. How is that most people on here can understand a comment like "WW make better partners than BW" as implying a simple majority, while "BW have rounder butts than WW" as an absolute? You will not hear one person on here say the first comment is just a stereotype, but most people would be ready to cast a stone for the second comment. Why is that, if both comments are stereotypes and/or opinions? I think the reason why you will get no objections from the first statement, is because some of the poster on here whether they will admit it or not see it as truth, while the 2nd statement is seen as fiction because it is something that people on here don't agree with. You are right I do have an agenda but it is not the agenda that everyone some people on here think I have. Every message board, discussion, and debate I am a part of I try my best to stay objective. I have no problem criticizing white, black, gay, or straight equally. So far on this message board you have heard me say black women as whole are lazy by looking at the 82% overweight stat, or WW as a whole have butts that are not as round as BW. At the same time you have also seen me state that I think White people as a whole have the prettiest eye colors of all people. I don't think I have mentioned it until known but I think black people as whole have better looking skin than other groups of people. But some people on here would overlook my negative statement about BW, but jump on me for saying a negative about WW. I try to stay fair on both sides.
