I always said joining the military is a good thing. It is just the getting injuried or dying that sucks hence why I never joined.
I agree with that. The current system for disabled veterans sucks in my opinion. It's not like the movies where a guy gets shot, gets the girl and lives happily ever after. Sometimes you end up losing a limb and getting tossed by the wayside. I'm glad I went to college before anything. The atmosphere of army jrotc in high school, leans you in the way of going into the army, at the end of your junior year, under the split option program. If I did that and lost a leg or arm, I would probably have never forgiven myself for the lack of opportunity in life.

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." - Dr. Martin Luther King
"As you grow older, you'll find that the only things you regret are the things you didn't do." -Zachary Scott
"Profits are like oxygen. You need it to survive, but ultimately what matters is passion, growth, and a higher purpose." - Tony Hsieh
Ahh, good ol' Dr. Seuss. He's got some beautiful quotes. I think I might pinch this for my signature.
