I just wanted to let you guys know I'm officially tapping out of wwbm. Its been a great experience for especially knowing that so many people have similar interest and go through similar problems when dealing with interracial dating. There are a lot of amazing people on here that made this a lot of fun for me even those who I haven't or don't get along with.
I'm beginning to see more and more as I bump heads with other members (three come to mind) that I'm not a good fit here. I understand that I can be very offensive and rude when I try to express my ideas but I'm brutally honest by nature. I haet sugar coating thins because it makes me feel like I'm lying and I've grown to call most of you friends and I don't lie to friends. I'm cordial and play the meaningless manners game in my professional because that's required for me to get a check but I always felt in my social life I should be allowed to be myself without apology. Apparently that doesn't work here and I'm honestly tired of getting people mad and bringing stress to the threads so I'm going to gracefully bow out and wish you guys love peace and happiness. And maybe I might come back next year because its hard to stay away from wwbm for too long lol.

Everyone bumps heads at some time Andrae. I've been thinking a break is a good idea for a while myself, but I think that sometimes you just need a change, a fresh perspective. It's hard though when there are people here that I really care for. I personally don't feel you need to apologize for stating your opinion, and frankly people who thinks that's necessary often annoy me. If you don't like what someone says put them on ignore and enjoy the people you do agree with. I think at the point everyone agrees all the time, that's neither productive nor enjoyable. I've learned more from the disagreements than I have from the congenial discussions. I do find it nonproductive when any discussions devolves to the point of name calling and just general nastiness, and that really does take the enjoyment out of WWBM. But there are plenty of threads that don't involve that, and I'm trying to stick to those.

I hope you'll reconsider, I enjoy your passion and your perspective, even when I don't agree with you. But I don't need WWBM to stay in touch with you, you know where to find me, please do so anytime it suits you. :smt058

Bye fucker, heh. I've disagreed with you before, but never disliked you or anything. I can be brutally honest too, plus tactless (Sagittarius Ascendant). But I still respect you a lot and I know you know more than I do, whether I want to admit it in a disagreement or not, and it sucks to see you go. I agree with Espy for the most part. I'd like to wish you love peace and happiness as well. And I hope you also enjoy the rest of your summer and that you don't stay away too long. :cool:

I like the new avatar and also being tactful is a lot harder than being tactless.
 
NAdrae, I think you look at it the wrong way - there will always be friction somewhere/sometimes on boards lik ethis.
That doesnt mean you are not a good fit - that just mean business as ususal.

We didn't get off to the best start. We don't normally agree a lot. However, this board will not be the same without you.

Take a break, enjoy life, and come back to us. You're a good addition to this online family, and by leaving, it's like you're letting someone else win. LOL.

That's how I look at it, anyway. On several occasions, I wanted to put my belongings into a checkered tablecloth, tie it to a stick and walk off into the sunset from this place with some sad cowgirl music playing in the background, but I've found that taking a break from here for a few days and even reading but not replying to anything for a few days helps bring perspective back to me.

I wish you nothing but peace, love, and happiness, and hopefully your path will lead you back here at some point.

Andrae when you first came here I told you when you disagree if you don't call people names you would get along alot better here. I will say it again.

I think you should stay. You offer a good point of view many times but you can be hard headed. Maybe a break is good for you for perspective. Have a good summer either way. :cool:

no really, dude you are not the only one hated here. but you dont have to go, just try and not curse at people--its ok to be honest but tactful is good too. you wont have long term relationships if your woman asks "Does this make my butt look big" and you always say YES. Sometime being kind and not just whats first on your mind goes along way.

they like you man, at least they dont hate you as an Uncle Tom or Conserv, like me. so you will be fine, even if you take some time off, just learn to be diplomatic, but keep the honesty too, that is good:smt079

I'm sorry to read this, but I understand. This place can become tiresome and it's not always Kumbaya around here. Some people can be argumentative, condescending/patronizing and everyone has an opinion and then some, but when you deal with a lot of personalities in one place, you're going to have friction somewhere. Andrae, you're from NY, and being from there, you should especially know how peeps get down. You should tell them about themselves (with some decorum) and state how you feel without giving a fuck. And if you do, put on them Timbs and never let them see you sweat. Tell 'em why you mad son and then keep it moving. In closing, I hope you take a well needed breather and come back. You're a good asset around here.
