Holidays (But I know that confuses Americans, so... vacation!) This has been my year of travel, I'm not usually such a jet-setter!
Thanks Jordan! She did love it. But I don't really think when she saw the picture and asked for that cake that a. I'd actually do it, and b. that it would look like that. She was surprised at the outcome. The cake was a big hit. My brother-in-law even suggested that I be a baker. But that's not gonna happen. And whikle, I'm exceedingly jealous of your jet-setting year. I can't even afford to fly to Vegas and that's in my country and here you are flying to THREE foreign countries in a year!! Very jealous!! Hopefully I can do that someday soon. Anyway, have fun!! :smt023
Bookie I have a friend who did just that. Baked these amazing cakes and made it her part time job. She made the cutest cake that looked like a 1/2 unwrapped snicker bar. I bought one for my boss for her birthday and then my whole office was ordering from my friend. Every celebration was snicker cake. I have a pic on my old computer I will dig it up. Just a lightbulb you know on a way to make some money.
I've been in a very fortunate position for the past two years, Books. It isn't normal, I know that for sure, but I'm making the most of it while I can! It won't last forever.
Ooooooohhhhhhhh!! I would love to see that picture! I don't know. I just did what they told me to in a book. I feel like I can't really take credit for the cake because it was someone else's design. Ummm exactly bookie. She didn't invent the snicker..........she copied it. She also did a lot of Cubs (lol IL people) b-ball hats and Reese's PB cup. It's on my old rickety desktop. I will get it off and post it this week. Her initial outlay was Wilton pans. Then she just bought Duncan Hines cake mixes when they were on sale and kept a supply. The cakes weren't even from scratch and people paid about $25 per cake. More if it was intricate. Just a thought.
I'm starting to think twice about this biology/chem thing. It is being more of a pain in the ass but it may be just my down at this time.:smt017

My aunt has Lung and Bone Cancer...She starts Chemo on the 4th. My father has to go for a lung scan and my mother has to have two things removed from her breasts....Hopefully everything is fine for them....
