I know it's more complicated when there are kids involved, so I don't know if that changes things, but look into getting your fees waived? That's what I did and I didn't pay a dime for my divorce. All I had to do was sign the papers and show up in court. Or is it a problem of him not wanting to sign? My mom had that problem when she tried to divorce my dad, and really it's the only reason they ended up staying married. Cause without both signatures you -have- to get a lawyer, and that's where a lot of money comes in -_-

Same here. I am a single man. All of my friends are married most w/ kids or expecting. Dating is interesting because being in my late thirties most of the women I date now are divorced, most have kids. I have never been married, no kids. I stick out among my close friends.
Yeah just call the courthouse and ask them about how to get the fees waived. I know if you earn a low enough income it can be lowered or knocked off completely, if your state is anything like my home state. I hope it works for you!!! I remember when I started to get my divorce I was so scared it would cost an arm and a leg, but because I was only working in a minimum wage job I could get the fees waived completely.
