And on-topic: Nope! Strictly into console style RPGs, especially the likes of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Pokemon, and many other countless RPGs!

I've played almost all the FF games btw. lol I never finished 12 tho cause it dragged from the beginning, and we've got 13 somewhere but that's Nate's so I haven't bothered with it. Besides, when it comes to consoles I'm waaaaay more interested in Fallout 3. lol

Any dang way, just a couple of years ago I used to play some RPG stuff with some friends. I played once, and if I remember correctly I think I was a cleric or mage. We used to make up games; which I thought were pretty fun. One of which was kind of sort based on the tv show and movie, Firefly & Serenity. Those were the days...

 

I finished FFXII and that's one of my top favorite Final Fantasy games. My personal favorite would be FFVI and then FFIX. I do happen to like the Tales series and the Star Ocean games as well. And regarding Western Style RPGs, if you love Fallout 3, you might want to consider the new game that's coming out!

new vegas has been out for a while! I'm crossing my fingers on getting it for christmas. lol only reason I even got the first version is cause I found it cheap at a used movie and game place. I'm a huge fan of the Bethesda open world games. Bethesda is my fav game company other than Square Enix.

Hahaha, but if you want to talk LARPing...I observed it from a distance. Although I was a creator of this one short lived D&D style role-playing: XXX-Tales. I'll let you figure out the rest.

 

I used to do some online RPing in chatrooms some years ago too. I've done some Star Wars to Batman to fictional stuff that online friends made up. It was online chatroom RP that helped me become a better typer. I think my favorite was Batman roleplaying because I we took on the mantle of different characters, good or bad and made them our own. Turn based paragraph posting. I remember being Clayface and the Ventriloquist. For Star Wars I made up my own Ewok character that traveled around with a group of Rogues. I wish that stuff still existed, I did it with AOL chatrooms in the days of dial up. Nowadays places you sign up to do that stuff with are quite questionable.

 

I've never done LARP. Honestly I don't even much enjoy doing table top. lol I mostly prefer online, but I -have- done table top in the past.

Nowadays my d20 is for keeping health in Magic the Gathering. >.>

 

Have you ever been to imaginechat.com? I don't go around much because of some issues I had with previous room owners (there're a lot of different rooms on there though) but since the problem decided to act like a child and run away I've been on there a little more. I just mostly don't have time anymore! Lemme get through these finals and I plan on going back a bit. I go to the Marvel room on there, with my own character. I've had her since like...2005? I think? maybe even before that. She's great!

I think they may even have a star wars room, but I can't remember. I've never been much into star wars so I don't look into that stuff.

I've been tempted to talk our esteemed webmaster into making a board rp section! but everyone would just post sex stuff. lol

 

No, I've never heard of those, but I'll check them out. You never know though, if the webmaster did make an RP section, I guess to appease those that are hot and heavy he could just give them their own section so the rest of it could be left to those that are serious about advancing non-sexual storylines and such. May take some doing, even if that means a trial run to see how it goes.

IC might have something you'd be interested in. I honestly don't venture much out of the Marvel room, but some of the rooms seemed kinda interesting. A lot of Laurel K Hamilton shit is on there now though, and those books don't interest me at all. A lot of the rooms require you to register on their message boards and do character sheets and stuff. If you go for Marvel you might see me in there sometime!

The main issue with doing rp here is that I'm not sure how many people would actually be interested! lol I mean...other than me and you, obviously.
