One last thing. You mentioned the original poster's attraction to a particular subset of white women thereby formulating his preference. How would we react to someone in power (say a police officer for example) formulating an opinion about black men (for example) because of his/her experience with a subset of the black male community? Opposite sides of the exact same token. That's the point I'm trying to make here.
Right And this really is the issue. Your action movie example. Its like me saying "I love Action movies" and someone saying "Hey you can't generalize you have to individually state which action movies you like" or "you can't say ALL Actions movies, how about you say you like some action movies" I think white women are beautiful, I like Asian women are beautiful, I think black women are beautiful....and saying that each individual person on the face of the earth is beautiful is not only silly, but unrealistic.
I hear you both, but action movies are not people. Can we really compare the two? I'll quote my last post for emphasis on my stance. One last thing @ Dreaming_blue.
As I said. If I said "Asian women are beautiful" I'm not going to get a message from white women saying "what about us" If I said "white women are beautiful" I'm not going to get an email from Asian women saying "I guess we are nothing" ....this will come from black women...no matter what race I put they will always see an expression for another as a condemnation of them.
People in power (police included) are entitled to their opinions just like everyone else. It is only a problem if they use that power to abuse others (in this case black men) or to deprive them of their rights. Black women don't have any right(s) that are enforcable (moral or legal) to black men's affections. Black men do have rights that are enforcable by law to not be harrassed/abused by the police.
One is a compliment and the other is an insult. People like to be complimented (whether as an individual or as part of a group) and usually they don't like to be insulted (whether as an individual or as part of a group). Do you think the OP would have avoided the confrontation if he posted a pic of one individual WW and said he finds her one of the most beautiful woman in the world?
Exactly, that is his personal feelings and he is entitled to it. I've seen women that say black men are beautiful, black men are ugly Asian women are beautiful, Asian women are ugly and the list goes on, not everything has to be PC. The world is full of variety, we all have our likes and dislikes. If you are confident in yourself you don't worry about what the next person thinks about you. You just live your life. I bet if YMRA was to have posted BW are beautiful, he would have gotten no complaints, funny how that works.
Do you think that has ever stopped them from formulating that opinion. In New York City, a black male can be stopped and searched while just walking down the street. People have their views and opinions on others, they will either mature from that at some point or continue to feel that way. All one can do is live life according to your values and beliefs and empower yourself through your own actions.
And these are often some of the same one's that proclaim they are strong and independent yet they have this huge chip on their shoulder about black men who like white women. Does that strike anyone as strong and independent in mindset. Let people live their lives how it best suits them I say. I know one thing, I'm not going to stop liking white women because of anyone.
the flow of conversation on facebook as been replies like "I" don't care "I" wouldn't say that ...they have all glossed over that there is an issue because THEY don't (or they say) make the same replies. So I asked "Do black women take issue" ...LOL...and I get "I" dont' care "I don't have a problem (etc).
Of course not... before they were all speaking hypothetically, right? Now that it's a direct question, they're like 'Oh, well, I didn't mean me, I was just saying that I wouldn't say it!'
people equate being a real black person to have to see other racists as less beautiful. It is like if you like WW then you must hate black women and vice versa. people are immature in their thinking and ways
the problem with that is that there are people out there and in this forum believe that in order to date outside your race you must knock the other race. In your instance you like BM but there will be people that will say you must hate WM and stay on that mentality notion. they are a bunch of idiots. You would be able to carry an intellectual convo with those people if you put it in a bucket for them
Word bro its cool to date outside your race but you don't need to knock down others just because you wont date them.Example of 2 stupid statements:1. I hate white men i cant let them touch me and that's why i like black men 2. black women are loud and bitchy that's why i like white women.
