Like I've said once before I don't put anyone on ignore no matter how ignorant they are. I like knowing just how ignorant and assed out some people can be, especially when they like to pretend they don't know why everyone is "attacking" them.
Preferably what I do (given your advice) is to not put them on ignore, but ignore their responses. The best way of taking the trolls down is to not respond to them, report their offensive posts, and reduce their rep points. It seems to work pretty well. I call it the "IR approach".
Right. That's the best way to handle it. Although, just like putting people on ignore I don't neg rep anyone either. It's just me, but I figure that if someone is that assed out and offensive to me, because it takes a lot to phase me, then other people definitely have to be offended and will neg rep the hell out of said individual.
I never did until the goodloves fiasco. Ignore comes in handy when you need a break from an idiot (or 2 or 3, lol). There are times when the negativity wears thin.

I've seen enough negativity in my lifetime that it doesn't phase me anymore. I more or less expect it and I've gotten to the point where I can just navigate through it and lessen it's effects when every I encounter anything negative. It just fascinates me when people chose to willfully be ignorant or negative for shits and giggles. It says a lot about them as a person that they go that route for whatever reasons. Makes no damn sense to me.
It makes no sense to me either. I'm not in the mood for dealing with idiots at the moment. I'm sure you've noticed, but I tend to be a little blunt & un-ladylike when speaking out against some of the ignorance fools are spewing. I don't like assholes that make me grouchy & they have been lately. A couple of these fools would get pimp slapped if they were standing in front of me, lol.
Yeah. That seems to be the appeal of coming on the internet for a lot of people. Being uncivil and pissing and shitting on people because they are faceless entities, making them not real and therefore they don't have to worry about the consequences of what they say or do towards others, like getting a possible beat down if it were real world circumstances. And if the people you shit on take offense why of course the default defense is "It's the internet stupid! This is what you do here!!" :smt011
The thing about the internet to me is that it's easier to be yourself when you're anonymous, so these folks that come online acting like assholes are most likely assholes off the net. They're definitely bolder when they can't get their asses kicked, lol.
