This is the kind of thing I was talking about in my response to Mr. F's question. You and your family shouldn't have to explain or be made to feel uncomfortable about any aspects of your relationship by anyone outside of it. Having someone that is or has been in your situation to support and have you back against that type of bullshit would have been a big help. How are thing for you and your family now after you've moved? Any people that can relate and help you feel less stress around?
It was quite a bit easier in Miami, but the damage had been basically done. We're divorcing now, but I can't blame it all on the city. But a lot of the initial stress that set it in motion started in the midwest. It is certainly easier for my son in Florida, though, and that is definitely the most important. Looking for like-minded people who had been through that sort of thing is one of the things that drew me to the site in the first place.
Sorry to here this. I'm guessing you are the person who left me the unsigned attempted positive rep & comments then.
Yes, coming to this site to get perspectives, insights and share some common ground overall from like-minded people who have been through or are going through the same experiences was a motivator for me as well. Been in a BM/WW relationship is not an easy thing, but it is worth all the negative bullshit when you know that you are not alone in your day to day struggles and support you and your loved ones. It's kind of frustrating at times to observe some people here who claim to be about BM/WW relationships treat the issues of our unique relationships as a joke, because it not. And wanting input and opinions from people who say they don't understand or can't relate to what we go through at times? WTF??
Great post, Ra-Ra. I also come here to interact with like-minded folks who share those things. It also frustrates the hell out of me to have to deal with those who treat it like a joke or no big deal, & to deal with those who don't get it (& don't seem to want to). I don't want their input, because it's worthless to me. If they can't relate, what the hell do they have to offer anyway?
Yeah. I was trying to find a way to put this across in my response to Mr. F when he asked what I meant by strong invested interest. It's not that simple to put down in words and explain, but people who live BW/WW relationships on the daily and go through certain things on a regular basis seem to get where I'm coming from when I say strong invested interest. It's our lives. We're invested in the unique issues and concerns that are a part of BM/WW relationships.
I wanted to be sure I understood you correctly before I flipped out. Again I want to be clear. Are you saying that you can only understand the struggle of being in an IR if you have kids with or are married to a white woman?
No. And we both know that's not what I was implying. You're a smart man. Come on now.

I'm going to act to like you in this post Goodlove. If you get into an IR you better brace yourself for the beauty of it and the ugliness that society brings.
hell if I know I date a bw it is easier for society to tolerate. LOL
so lippy is curious ra ra...are you married and if so, does your wife know you are here? O said that he was in the middle of a divorce...not that you have to be single to be here...married is actually great! do you think your wife would consider joining as well?
It's definitely not easy to explain the uniqueness of BM/WW relationships. We're strongly invested in it because it's not only our lives, but to me it's also a big part of who we are.
Exactly. See, I knew there was a reason why I call you my wifey from an alternate reality.
