LOL, she sounds like the last person I would want concerning herself with my relationship. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of friend would say such a thing. Lets just say she doesn't come across as being too altruistic but more like a brat that is unhappy and now wants others to be as miserable as her.
you can hide your sexual orientation but you cant hide your race....in some aspects yes they are similar in that even today IR is frowned upon , they just will not be overly overt with it I wouldnt drop her until it is toxic. she is hurting soooo be cool. she is coming from a place of pain. good point
Clearly she is someone who is unhappy at her own personal situation and is in no suitable position to comment about other folks relationships without being jaded at best and a whole lot more than that at worst.
two points- point1- to me there is no real difference between gay marriage and interracial marriage and many other forms of relationship between consenting adults, whether is pologamy, sex buddies, sex changes, etc. to me society is based on freedom, and what greater freedom is there, besides choosing your partner. to me they also have dealt with the same issues: bigotry, discrimination, persecution and intolerance. to me it all wraps around the same civil rights issue: equality under the law. point2- for the op, i say be direct. being proactive rather than reactive, tell her on no uncertain terms that she has right to cast aspersions on your life, relationships, etc.
Whatever the pain bringing you down with her is fucked up. Friends don't do that. Mine don't and I never would. We're adults lashing out at loved ones is teenage shit but its your choice kid.
I love it when my two favorite men speak sense. :smt048 This persons response was just way off. Hurt or not, it speaks to what she has left unsaid to have said that to you, bosoxlady. I may not cut her off, but I would certainly fade.
Hey what's up DB, sorry to hear about the personal situation when you left for Europe. I only stumbled across the exact details today. Deepest sympathies. I hear you on that about what was left unsaid. For someone to come out of their face and say something like that shows a level of disrespect. Those are the kind of words you would hear a bigot utter. Telling folks about what is socially acceptable and that one should just accept that is the way it is. W.T.F. She sounds like an extremely bitter person, as lippy mentioned misery loves company indeed. I was bosox I would keep a close eye on her antics, because she doesn't seem like too much of a positive friend.
comparing IR marriage to gay marriage, is like comparing Eminem to Vanilla Ice sure they're both white rappers, but one of them is the truth and the other is a straight up cereal-box fool
Gotta love petty, his meatheadedness knows no bounds. Anyway, here are some L.A. girls talking about balls. [HDYT]dj2dw6az7Zg[/HDYT]
yes someone explain this to me allowing two homosexuals to marry seems like both blasphemy and a contradiction. Doesn't the bible consider that a no no? How in the hell is this a 'holy' union? Are we just modifying religions as we go along now. First the gay bishops now this.
It's called social evolution and something else called "love". If that's too hard to comprehend, then might I delve deeper into the whole thing?
