...and you too lovely Tam, each type I write your name, I mouth it in the same breathe. For me, you are a flame that suddenly comes alive in a strange, but magical place. I imagine you and think about horses, their hooves, and their strength in motion, and marvel at the world the molded and toughened your spirit.
It reminds me of some story in the bible, although I might not really be accurately telling it, and might have it really mixed up, yet it is a story that ministered to me years ago about a woman of practical means that knew no city life, a woman sired, raised and toughened in the drudgery of everyday life on the farm, in the wild, yet in whom the city man found worthy , or found the love of a city man.
The story flows and strikes in me in a particular part, the moment I would call the moment of discovery. When the man looked at her weathered hands, and she also thought about her weathered hands, and the things she could accomplish with them, and when she also considered the soft and supple skin of the other competing woman in the city, she was discouraged whether she was match in competition for the woman of the city, matched enough to deserve love from this city man.
Yet, beyond the klieg lights of the city, beyond the obsession of fashion, competition, booze, and sex; something held the city man in awe of this rural woman. He knew when he saw her that he wanted the woman of practical means.
Now, I have never seen you, neither I have I seen your weathered hands, nor do I say you have weathered hands
I speak more to your spirit and to your knowledge of the world that is beyond immediacy and fanciness of looks, or skin colour . I speak more to your spirit, your soul, and the way you weave your words and the depth of experience that shines forth in your comments and your bountiful generousity, and those words that continue to hold me hostage, even though I am very far away, yet the love of the mind is not restricted by borders, nor colour.
Please continue being Tam, I am a fan4real. I would have said I loved you, but you hate people that say they are in love with you so soon
I hope this little message lifts your day and brightens your spirit. And thank you for the gift of the spirit, and that other stuff, you know what, you are amazing too![]()
Well in my case a black men approached me . I never thought I would "kick" it with a black guy, but we have been talking on the phone for hours and are planning to meet I guess for an date. What I like about him is his confidence that he wasnt afraid of approaching me and knows what he wants, I also find his voice sexy and the way he laughs at times. He is not a thug, yet I can see he has a wild side to him also, he works so that is a plus and treat women with respect. As far as his "size" I dont believe in myths like that. I dated a guy with a huge...and he was mediocre in bed at best, it is not the size that matter, either you click in a bed with him or not. Now I dont discriminate against my own kind, I find white men equally attractive. I know that black men have it harder than any other race of men, those negative stereotypes, lack of father figures. I also know that black men were the first men on the earth, yet they die faster than white men.Their average lifespan is shorter. We got to love them cause they have it hard out there.

Care to elaborate on that?
All I see right now a lack of respect for others people opinion.
That was a methaphore. I dont have to love you. That is not my point. My point was to illustrate that black men has less than equal opportunities because of stereotypes, putting them in a ghetto, not educating them, labeling them. I meant no harm I actually feel sorry for them. But you as a black man wouldnt understand a white women's thoughts. I actually respect black women as well, I hate that black guys dont date black women.
Uh huh. And you feel sorry for them/us pathetic black males why? And considering I'm married to a white woman, I think I have a good grasp on white women's thoughts. At least the ones who have genuine love and respect for black men.
Yes I feel sorry for them, I came to realize they have it hard out there. I'm sorry that is a reality.
Who are these "THEM" you speak of?? Black Men?? And where is this "OUT THERE" ?

black men in the society.
The Society? Which Society? America or where you reside? (Since you have let it be known that English is not your first language in the other thread you posted in.)
Right so I disrespect black men because I'm being real.
I live in Chicago, I go to a lot of ghetto places.
Uh huh and why would you go to the ghetto being that it is such a bad place? Just say... since most white people would know better. The bad black folk might get you....

Believe it or not, some were trying to get me...
