haters gonna hate lol, as you said in another post, it comes down to him pulling a woman they can never
When did we start requiring people to be "better" than the people they criticize on this board? So by this logic I can't call Lebron James an overrated choke artist till I win a championship?
When did this become about his skin tone? So if he were light skinned you think posters would have a different opinion? Maybe this is strictly an American pov but you normally don't see women who look like that especially with the pedigree of being Miss Anything dating average everday dudes no matter what the racial make up. Your money usually has to be very long to pull and keep a woman who looks like that happy. The only other couple that comes to mind that's like that is Leona Lewis and her man who's an electrician. Maybe it's a UK thing?
Careful Birdy I don't want you getting called a hater too lol. Apparently some of my friends on here think if you're not in full support of every single IR union you're hating lol.
Bah humbug. Whatever. If I can't be honest then I'd have to leave. Truth isn't always comfortable. Fact.
LOL I dont even know what meatloaf is. Oh well, there goes our love affair right there. And here I was thinking we could be soul mates. Poop. :smt016
What I will say though is some of those random folks come from well to do families overseas and some are British born. Among the parents are those that went to some of the best elite colleges like Oxford and Cambridge. Many emigrated because of the poor economic conditions in their country. While to onlookers and average street observers they might come across as random ass couples, the people in such unions are sometimes products of well educated families that share many values with some of their mates. For example when you see Tinie Tempah singing before his stardom on the streets of London, and identifying with urban music produced in gritty neigbourhoods what gets lost is the family pedigree. He belongs to an elite family from Nigeria and of repute. His aunty is the a current vice president of World Bank, his cousin is a world acclaimed novelist and that just graduated as a medical doctor from Columbia. So when you see these random asses that people are quick to what to criticize their union, many times their heads are well screwed tight on their shoulders and they do have values that compare favourably if not better than the average elite in your very own country, their circumstances notwithstanding. It is lack of understanding to criticize these unions because they are immigrant kids, or they look typically African and without traces that they have mixes of European ancestry in their heritage. When a woman meets a great guy ...she knows when he is a steal, not a "money miss road ." ( Nigerian way of saying someone that has accidental riches without culture of grooming, you can't buy that. It takes a while and sometimes family to cultivate.) One of Tinie's relatives: See his bio here His aunty : See here bio here The critics like the random ass white boys are the ones without family pedigree that have no entries in the registers of the World's who is who. If you trace Manners pedigree, he would sure belong to this category of families. The values and the choices of women they date speak for themselves. They are different from people from rags to riches that hit money and hardly have what it takes to manage the demand of fame and success and go on to buy girlfriends and wives without bringing the values that sustain the relationship to the table. It is a bit racist and discriminatory to read some of these sentiments expressed on this board. I doubt if any civil rights leader of the earlier generation of African Americans, I mean the ones without European ancestry looked any better, yet white women fell head over heels in love with them. Instead of talking about how mismatched they seem, I would think the more positive attitude would be to celebrate the increasing union between blacks and whites and the increasing attitude of white women and black men to break through the shackles of racist ideologies.
I see men on here acting like school hussies calling this guy ugly and all that crap. But when it's women you find attractive on the receiving end, it turns into "it's all subjective." Double standards won't work. But to be more precise, if someone were to call you a gorilla and others would view you as such, wouldn't you find it insulting?
Good post, Wise. I'd like to see how he's gonna respond to this. It's excellent to have you on board, Naija. You are an excellent contributor towards the site. You give us hope that we can over power these racist ideologies in the world.
You're not? Funny...you exist as much as they do, Andrae. It doesn't matter if they are celebrities or not. For the truth is, you're still under grounds of ridicule from other egocentric blowhards in public eye, regardless of your celebrity or lack thereof status. Selective judgment will only cripple and even blindside you.
