Peace, y'all. My name is B. I'm came across this site, and found it interesting. Just introducing myself. I live in Philly, but I'm not from here. I grew up in Connecticut. Anything else you want to know (ladies), hit me up.
Welcome. You and I share something of a storied past in that I was born in Philly and lived there before attending a private prep school in Connecticut. A long story for another time but I hope your membership is long, your inputs many, and your goals, whatever they may be, achieved...
I have to say I am a fan of Philly, I spent many Vacations at my brothers place there on Walnut St in the city..... Love the people, the atmosphere and the shopping..... I would return there if I had the opportunity...
Maybe it's a matter of where you go and who you know. I love Philly cheese steaks, hoagies, Italian food, and the view along the Schuylkill River but on my last visit in December, the Philly beyond the food was a world of isolationists and depressing visions of stagnation and neglect. I may give it some time to grow, but I have no plans of returning there anytime soon.
Hey neighbor! I got a Philly question for you... Do you know any cool stuff to do in the Roxborough area? I am moving there from West Oak Lane in the next week-and-a-half (can't wait). But I'll probably be lost around there for a little while, LOL.
I'm a stranger to my homeland, having lived across the pond for years, so I couldn't tell you anything about the city. I have (non)relatives living in West Oak Lane, but on my recent visit, the only thing they wanted to show me was the door and I took it without ever looking back. We have at least one member in the group who can probably steer you in the right direction. Just slow your roll and let the magic of networking work.
