Bradin, As a christian I can tell you that it is a very difficult road to wak on a straight path. It is very very difficult especially if you are a recent convert or a born again, the best thing you can do to maintain on the path is surround yourself with TRUE CHRISTIANS not the fake charlatans ones. You're going to need all the support you can get at the early phase so you won't bounce back to your old ways. As a Christian and scientist, I walk Primarly with FAITH but also with sight. Good luck!
Bradin, As Arch & GZ have mentioned, the Christian path is a worthy one to follow, but not an easy one. I'm proud of you for making the decision to put God first in your life. Just be on your guard because there are many things that happen in life that try to interfere with that, & you have to be a soldier & fight to stay right. Do your best to stay close to the Lord by studying & staying true to His word & by leaning on Him every step of the way, surround yourself with true, solid Christians who will help & not hinder your relationship with God, & pray often. When things get tough or when you mess up, don't give up & don't be too hard on yourself. No human being is perfect, & no one is expected to be. Just do your best & let God take care of you & remember that tough times are a part of life & things happen for a reason, even if we don't know what the reason is. Just continue to learn & grow & hold tight to your faith. I know you said you were done with your past plans to write your scripts & to move to the UK or New Zealand, but I hope that doesn't mean you are giving up on a gift that God gave you. Whatever you decide to do, don't neglect the gift that God has given you; He gave it to you for a reason. He expects you to put whatever talents He gave you to good use. Even though you have changed your plans, please continue to be creative & write if that is an ability He gave you. Thanks for the many laughs & the crazy conversations we've had on here.
