Indeed. Especially the mountain pictures, I have tons of those around somewhere from my climbing days. I'm a sucker for mountains - which is how I ended up in Colorado, looking out at Pikes Peak while I type.
Other than the Denver airport, the only place I've been in Colorado was Greely which wasn't all that special. We could see the mountains in the distance though. It was summer time & I do remember all of the wildflowers. By the end of May everything is already dead around here. lol
Denver is too far away from the mountains. Drive 60 miles south to Colorado Springs, and they're really in your back yard.
I have driven through there, stopped to go to the bathroom. Smelled the air and barfed. Got back in the car and left. I asked someone who lives there and they say there is a meat plant there that puts the smell in the air. It's in the air pretty much on the regular. I have a weak stomach for disgusting smells........I wouldn't last a day there.
That sounds awesome. I'd love to go to Colorado & get to enjoy it. That trip was work related. There's definitely nothing pleasant about Greeley. We were there for training for some back office software for the stores, & it was a crappy 2 days.
Ms. Tamstrong, I have to commend you on some of the most awesome threads on this site. As a lover of nature I hope and pray that humankind does not destroy these priceless gifts from God.
Thank you so much, Blacktiger. I really appreciate that. :smt058 I agree. Humankind definitely needs to have more respect for & to be better stewards of the precious blessings He's given us.
