I read that too, with the caveat being that this was found to be true of American BM. Not sure why it would be different than elsewhere. I think the average BM my age, while they appear younger looking then their white counterpart, seem to be more masculine in the way they walk, carry themselves, talk, etc. Just my opinion.
It could be the specific genetic mix. For example African-American and Caribbean men have a specific African-European-Native mix that is different from brothers in Africa, generally speaking.
