Here is something I have always wondered and would like some feedback on. When men look for a woman, the main characteristics we look for include, her Looks, and Personality. Women on the other hand when looking for a man, notice how after looks and personality then tend to include "a guy with a good job". Does this go back to the thinking that the MAN must provide for the woman (even though we all know women work just as much as men these days, maybe even more)? Why do women care how much money a man makes??? Of course everyone wants to live good but why does money, especially these days matter? Does that make her a gold digger to want a man with money? And why don't men say, "I want a woman with good looks, a good personality, and a good job?" I think it is because we are taught through society that we should be the one working and making the money and not looking to a woman to support us.
Now the other issue is something my mother constantly tells me. She says sometimes "I see you like the white girls, and as a black boy you better get a good job and make good money if you want to marry a white girl." We all know how parents are and they just want the best for us and to see us succeed, but is there actually any truth in this statement??? Must a black man have a certain amount of wealth in order to "deserve" a white woman (not the trashy ghetto kinds you see on Ricki Lake, but the classy & sexy corporate types)?
And my biggest question of all.....Can a woman's love be bought? We see many beautiful, younger women marry old or ugly men who are rich. Hugh Hefner, Bill Gates, many rock stars, celebrities, athletes, lawyers, doctors, rappers, etc. Would any woman think Jay-Z was hot if he did not have all that money? 50 Cent has a nice body (I can admit that as a fully straight man LOL) but his face and teeth are shit, yet women (and many of them white) drool over him. Millions of dollars can do that to a nigga. Look at Travis Barker (the skinny tattooed up drummer from the rock band Blink 182). He's married to blonde bombshell Shanna Moakler. She used to be on a TV show called Pacific Blue (it was kind of like Baywatch mixed with Cops) and was once married to boxer Oscar de La Hoya. She is hottt and what the HELL is she doing with him? Watch their MTV show Meet the Barkers. On that list of looks, personality, and riches, which is highest on their priorities? Maybe some of you women in here can answer that for me? How important is money to you and does a man with average looks or no looks at all become sexier to you if he has wealth and fame and power? If so, why?
I know for a fact most men would not marry an ugly woman no matter HOW MUCH money she had, but then again as I said, we have different criteria when it comes to what we look for in a partner compared to what women look for. I do not get how money can make a man more attractive to a woman. Yes he can buy you more things and give you a nicer house and easier life and you will most likely not have to work if you marry him, but does his bank account help get you off at night when his dick is inside you and does it make his face more attractive to you when he kisses you at night?
And if a woman's love or attention CAN be bought, or swayed by how much money a guy makes, what does that say about women? If money matters that much to them, if she would choose a generally unattractive man she normally would not date just because he has money, what does that make her? A gold digger? A slut? It is an interesting debate to me because it is funny the repercussions this has in the media and the way men treat women. Women wonder why we treat them as hoes and portray them as skanks in rap music and rock videos. Why in video games and movies and TV we see them as objects. Why we men strive so hard to get money and ghetto thugs strive so hard to sell drugs and get that money and why we others go to college and get a good job. It's not just so we can have a big house and live good, but it's also because we have been force fed by society and the media the notion that we need money to get a good woman.
Most men (although they won't admit it) see women as dumb animals who can be bought. Objects of affection and for pleasure. If I drive this fancy car and show off this bling bling and my chain and ice and diamonds up in the club she will go home with me. If I buy her a 6 karat ring she will marry me instead of the guy down the block who can only afford a 4 karat ring. And women wonder why they get disrespected. Well if you act like you are some trophy who will go to the highest bidder, the person who wins you will treat you like a trophy. He'll polish you every once in a while, put you up on a shelf, and eventually forget about you until he wants to boost his ego and get another better one. A man will not see you as someone worth loving and respecting if he sees that your love and attention and affection can be so easily swayed by a material object. He sees that as dumb and gullible, and thus you become just another object to him, just another material he owns, something he can BUY, same as his bling bling and his cars. You are a piece of property to him. Nothing more.
I do not think that is right. The MAN himself should be enough. Not his wallet. I don't think a man should be a lazy jobless bum either, but he should not have to be rich either. Some women need to get their priorities straight and then maybe they will be treated right and find the men and the love they THINK they want and deserve.
