Elephant Hawk Moth (deilephila elpenor) caterpillar mimicking a snake. When startled, the caterpillar draws its trunk into its foremost body segment. This posture resembles a snake with a large head and four large eye-like patches.
That looks scary as hell. If I saw that in person, I would have thought the world was coming to an end.LOL But it is a cool pic though.
Thanks, Stizzy. To me it looks like a perfect place to escape from all the stress & ugliness to beautiful peace & contentment.
I don't know, but I'll leave it to somebody less chicken than myself to try to make it work. lol Beautiful, Kuno.
This isn't exactly a nature pic but I think it's awesome nonetheless. Can't believe how close the Blues fly in formation. I used to sit out on the hood of my car when we lived in Pensacola, FL and watch them practice right over my house. Incredible!
Awesome... See, this why I don't fux with the almighty sea..it will swallow you up and spit you out and you then sink to its bottom to be fish food.
