Trayvon Martin's Murder

LOL. yeah and then they have to get into the right to bear arms over right to live conversation and the national racists ooops rifle association will be on its heals

You know if those crack heads would just talk about the right arm bears..I might just listen...

Cuz that's news worthy. A bunch of bears with 9mm guns.

Of course a soon as they stopped talking about that and went back to their normal drivel I'd have to watch something else...

Jus' saying'

Well you mentioned that him being arrested would mean nothing because he could get out on bail.

"One more thing..even if he was arrested tomorrow, he would not be languishing in jail until his trial. He'd be out on bail and probably have to surrender his passport."

I'm still looking for the part where I said him being ARRESTED would mean "NOTHING". I noted my above comment as a matter of statement that even if he is arrested, he, the asshole, wont even bee sitting in jail.
I even ELABORATED to you after you somehow read my comment as meaning "Not arresting him on fears he might make bail is weak" (:confused:wth?)....that what it MEANT was to many the expectation will be once he is arrested he will be jailed until trial and I was just noting that he probably won't even have to do that, which will add to the incensement. Go back and re-read the full comments.

You seem to always read way more into THINGS that are not there. If you're going to keep doing that, then add that it's "IN YOUR OPINION"..do not infer it as mine.

But why in the state of Florida do white Hispanic males not cool it in a cell before trial?

Actually, I think that's been explained in this tread. So I guess I still don't get how that happens.

...

It is not a color or culture issue - it's a bail issue if set forth by the judge off of guidelines, and of course if the person has the money to make it. His lawyer will surely argue he is not a threat to society based on his past (though we beg to differ), which he will ask the Judge to allow bail or even have it reduced if it's too high. (But the Judge can ignore the request, too)

ps: In Philly, you don't even need $$ sometimes, a suspect often just signs out O.R. (your own recognizance). It's staggering. "Catch and release", they nickname it here.

The color, culture and/or bail issue aside...I STILL don't get it.

I guess it's a denial thing. I guess I don't want to get.

The system is broken tho I get that.

I feel you I was shocked to learn that here. It's not how it works in other countries. Here it's who you kill and how you do it and will you do it again while you're out waiting.

Well said, Noc. Some of us get it. ;)

TDK, I'm not high... and if you'd read between the lines, you'd realize that the plot was laid long before Treyvon fell victim to a bullet. You and I can argue perceived facts till the sun goes down. We can interject hypotheses thru the next millennium... Neither anger nor frustration will resuscitate the life taken.

My mention of a thickened plot referred to the police department, who until now, did a half ass job of investigating a murder and letting a suspect walk free.... That it took a national interest in a travesty to bring Feds in... That a Froot Loop, licensed to carry a gun, is loose outside the breakfast bowl...

I'm as enraged as you, given the "what we know", the "where we've been" and expectation of fair and equal treatment under the "law".

The plot thickens because mounting evidence supports a darker picture that many of us feel in our hearts, occurred.... evidence that the police department overlooked or chose to ignore, maybe even support.

Nothing after this will bring Treyvon back, nor will any intervention prevent a recurrence... Until we all arrive at a level of thinking that goes beyond "colors", this incident will repeat itself countless times...

Cuz it doesn't fit any of their agendas.

After all..it's not like black 17 year olds or trigger happy Hispanics are buying up gold bars for the impending zombie..wait...communist..oops, sorry, socialist apocalypse.

Don't forget Islamic. lol

Kuno your highlighted statement suggests that you some how know whether or not he can make bail. In a similar case the bail was 250k and it wasn't anywhere near as high profile as this. So I would surmise that he wouldn't just make bail like that but like I said in my earlier post at least if he had some type of money tied up in bail it would reduce his chances of fleeing. Now there is absolutely nothing stopping him since he's free.

Legally what are your thoughts?

Let me review the thread... haven't been on top of the crim law assertions as it's a primary election day and I have no classes tonight, which means I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Subsequent Post-Review Edit:

Okay, here's my two cents:

Whether or not he is released on bail - if he is even arrested - is a function of the strength of his defense attorney's skills and relationships with the judge and prosecutor, the public pressure on the prosecutor to keep him behind bars and the extent to which the police provide sufficient facts to charge him in the first place. From what I've seen thus far, he's got a 50/50 chance either way of being arrested/arraigned/released on bail (or not) and not getting arrested at all. If the police investigate and rule it justifiable homicide based on a perceived need for self-defense, he could very well get away with it. I'm desperately hoping that he does not, particularly in light of the damning evidence of the 911 dispatcher telling him to stand down and leave it to the officers.

The biggest determinant of what happens to Zimmerman is, in my view, the zeal with which the prosecutor pursues this. Prosecutors are publicly elected and are the most sensitive in the equation to public pressure. If the police like this guy or want to help him out, they can easily (and I believe they do routinely) doctor the reports to make things look justifiable. However, the fact that he's not an officer is the one thing that makes it possible that the police won't stick their necks out for him.

Yes, very true, he could freely leave the country tomorrow, however it would have to be a non-extraditing country if charges of murder are brought upon him. (not sure if FL is a DP State)

So a similar case of self defense or manslaughter had 250K bail? (is that the 10% amount)? Please show me the case, I'm interested. But yes, he may not be able to make bail, but keep in mind its not the profile that sets the guidelines as much as it is the crime. In this case, I know we see it as bloody murder, but the law and the charges may not see it not so cut and dried, and his lawyer will most likely fight it if it's too high.

Keep jabbing victim. Hope you got kleenex because this is one topic where any civility I have is out the window.

Jeeez, TDK, she is allowed to agree with Noc. You threatening incivility upon this thread because she did so is absurd. You may need to take a deeeeep breath.

Dude I get passive aggression and her vernacular was passive aggressive. The way she cosigned his statment by saying some of us get it was a jab since I apparently am not part of the some. I see so much victim behavior its easy for me to spot.

But its ok for you to tell Noc "he was high" because he shared his observations? The plot thickens" is not a literal term, goodness, he was just expressing the new information coming to light and updating the thread..
It's like people can no longer make simple statements around you any more - you just jump on them and infer all kinds of things. Try asking for once...maybe their answer is NOT what you thought.

Not worth arguing over. We are all bascially on the same "side" here. Outraged. Until every life is valued the same we aren't a civilized society.

I am starting to see more postings on FB of requests to sign the petition. All people need to care that that family is without their son and shouldn't be.

So we need to stop the infighting over semantics in this thread. Keep it to topic and quit calling people names or insulting please. It's taking away from the subject posts.
