omg nyx ur officially in my cool book now

i watched the whole series on netflix in the span of like 3 weeks...awesome show...

i read that Caprica sucks ass tho...

i'd like to watch Blood and Chrome but frankly anything without Edward James Olmos as Adama or Colonel Tigh will suck

those are serious boots to fill, as that show was driven by character performances

I wasnt as sad to see a series close since Deep Space Nine and the Wire

both series really had good exits and definitely made me miss the characters

My daughter's class is going on a field trip. They spent this year learning about the different buildings in Chicago and then they did an art project where they built one of the buildings. My daughter and her partner did the Art Institute.

So today, they're taking the architectural tour on the Chicago River (something I have yet to do) and then they're eating their lunch on Navy Pier. She was so excited about this field trip that she was counting down the days. Then this morning, she woke up and got dressed before I got out of bed, and then whilst I was in the shower, she packed her lunch. LOL. I don't know whose child that was this morning because that child was surely not mine!

She made the green lions in front. :D

Thanks! I think they did a great job. :-D

The lions were originally bronze:

What are the names of the lions?
The two bronze lions that flank the Michigan Avenue entrance were made for the Art Institute's opening at its current location in 1893. They were a gift from Mrs. Henry Field. They have unofficial "names," which were given by their sculptor Edward Kemeys that are more like designations. You'll notice that the lions are not identical, and thus are named for their poses: The south lion "stands in an attitude of defiance," while the north lion is "on the prowl."

Currently trying to put up with 30 degree weather (celcius).

Don't get me wrong..I LOVE the heat, but without a breeze or even something cool to get, then I'm baking in these desert like conditions!!

Someone please send me a cool breeze or some ice cream! X___X lol :p

Prince?? :-P

I hadn't actually thought about it. But he does have a Peter Gabriel-ish sound to his voice. But I'm sure that's not who you're talking about.

I haven't a clue!
