Was having this discussion with a friend and we couldn't agree on what light skin and medium skin was. To me light skin is someone like LL or Al B Sure or even Chris Brown. What do you guys think? Throw up some pics
I have a caramel complexion and am "lighter" than most black people but still darker than 75% of the human population, so I am dark and proud.
OK well than I am lighter than most of my brothers and sisters, but I've found that that type of thing is played among blacks in Cali. I haven't heard a peep about light and dark skinned since I was a kid. The nationalism in late 80s and early 90s hip-hop changed the culture ALOT out here.
John Legend or lighter is a good baseline, although I do consider people slightly darker than him to be 'light skinned'. For instance, is Nicki Minaj 'light'??

Just something I wouldnt do And I would NEVER clown on a light skinned dude since if I have a son, he'll most likely be light skinned.
Hero, I am so bad at guessing ethnicities. From your pic (without knowing your background - which I do from your posts), I'd say you're either Desi or Hispanic. Today I met a man from Pakistan and I totally thought he was Hispanic. I am so bad at guessing.
I'm glad that there are so many Spanish speakers around me because I'm starting Spanish lessons on Wednesday. It will be a great chance to practice for me The context of meeting someone is key, as you mentioned in your post - you'd assume Middle Eastern, here I assume Hispanic.
