I'm not a Christian. And I don't follow a fundamental faith with lots of tenets and dogma.

But I just gotta say...I like this thread more than I thought I would. I do believe in Prayer. Heavily. And I say all kinds of prayers all the time.
This is one of my favorites:

And I did this as a daily prayer with beads for almost 6 months almost two years ago.

Thank You Father for getting me through this work week and for easing the physical pain I've been dealing with the last few days. Thank You for always taking care of me. Even though it's been tough, thoughts of You make me happy. Thank You Jesus for being my strength through the positive but difficult changes I'm making in my life; I know I couldn't do it without You. Thank You most of all for Your love and forgiveness and for the reminders I need to love others the way I should (even when it's not always easy to do so). Thanks also for all the many other blessings. :smt049

Thank you God for blessing me with a wonderful life, wonderful family and wonderful friends. I am so thankful for the life that I have and look forward to enjoying it with that someone special that you are sending me.... hint hint .....:wink:

It is hard to see how this prayer won't some day be answered......
 
Thank you, Father, for my sister in Christ, who keeps me balanced here. Who gently reminds me to look past the obvious, often the ugly, and walk in love. Who brings life to your word "..whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.". Phil 4:8.
